My friends and I went here for dine around Seattle week. I had the beet salad, pork belly and banana bread pudding. It was very good. It wasn't the best dish I've ever had but I would go back to try others for sure. I love the location although parking is terrible (to be expected). Volterra would make for a... More

Read the menu online, noticed some reviews were critical but wanted some pasta so off we went. No ambiance, the restaurant part is a large square room with too many tables and stained ceilings. Wine prices are extortionate - $14 for a small glass of average sauvignon blanc. I had the pork jowls with wild mushrooms and truffle oil. The... More

Okay. To say I love Italian food is an understatement. My ex husband thought I was Italian. But breakfast? I simply had the scramble with wild mushrooms, fontina, arugula and white truffle oil and my daughter the Milano Milano. The food was so amazing I wanted to stay there until dinner and eat again. Run there as fast as you... More

From the homemade fennel salt (can I say OMG) to the worlds best ceasar salad I have ever eaten to the Pork Jowls with wild mushroom and truffle butter (don't think about it-just do it) - everything was a complete taste sensation. The most amazing food I have ever eaten! The service was superb. Super friendly and extremely nice.

The plates are small .. its happy hour but the food is very rich so it works..the regular menu in the evening is pricey and i have not eaten during this time but its the best happy hour in the city and there are too many restaurants overpriced in this town.

We were here with friends for dinner. Nice and quiet. When we went in it looked like there was place for a few tables only but there is a large area towards the left opposite to the bar. Good place to party with friends. The food was tasty, service was good. Loved the pasta, though the risotto was a bit... More

This was our second experience here (the first time was great) but our second time left much to be desired. Our server & bus staffers seemed to be in a great rush to turn our table over once they found out only one of our party ordered cocktails. The food (I had the pork belly pasta which was practically a... More

We have been going to Volterra in Ballard for years whenever we are in Seattle. The tasting menu is new, and excellent value. Don't miss the wild boar tenderloin. Only negative, sometimes the homemade pasta is overworked, hence tough.

The atmosphere is fine. It's all about the food. Where else can you get wild boar in gorgonzola sauce?Salads are great as well. Save room for dessert. You won't be disappointed in anything on the menu.

Drove to Ballard for a different restaurant but it had a long waiting line so we walked up the street to Volterra and were seated right away. The staff was very cordial and took our wine orders quickly. I must say, the wine prices by the glass are very overpriced. We all ordered the Bolognese. It was tasty with a... More
