If you want one of the best breakfasts or lunch in Seattle, head to Geraldines. A diner atmosphere with just plain GREAT food. Order the hash and eggs!

Flew into seattle for the first time today and it ferry like we flew into a hurricane and on top of all of that the family was super hungry. We found this stop and came to try it. This was a good eat and the family enjoyed the Geraldine casserole.it was a nice warm meal for a nice cold day.... More

Met friends here on a Sunday morning for breakfast. It has both a great atmosphere and excellent food, as well as outstanding service from the host and wait staff. Plan on a wait for a table. Yes, it's that popular! Portions were ample but not overwhelming. The 'scramble' I ordered was nicely prepared and presented, as well as offered with... More

Found this place for breakfast in Columbia City. Sat at the counter and had amazing service and food. The french toast is different than anything you have ever had. This place is a must when visiting Seattle.

This is the kind of place we seek when we travel: small, local, popular with locals, real (good) food ~ & we went out of our way to get there. Showed up around 9 on a weekday for breakfast, easily got a table... but there was a steady stream of incomers after us & the place quickly filled up. The... More

We went based on the recommendation of our friend who we were visiting and we liked it so much that we went back the following morning as well. This is old school diner and the service and quick and efficient. If there is a line when you show up don't worry it goes by very quickly. The biscuits are a... More

Geraldine's gave that small-town vibe which I enjoyed a lot. Items are a little pricey, more like a sit-down restaurant range instead of diner rates. The customer service was excellent though and was worth the trip.

Went on a Sunday morning while staying in Columbia City. The place opens at 8:00am and when we got there at 8:15, it was almost full already. People coming shortly after us already had to wait, and by 9am the line was quite long - so get there early. Breakfast is served all day and is fantastic. We had oatmeal... More

My husband and I are celebrating our honeymoon in Seattle. We were walking in this quaint neighborhood and stumbled upon Geraldine's Counter. We went in (we had matching Hubby/Wifey tee-shirts) and we were treated to a complimentary huge slice of warm blueberry coffee cake that was so delicious. Service was great. We also went back for breakfast a few days... More

Having lived or traveled in every area of the country, it's a sad fact that outside of the southeast, no one knows how to make biscuits. They make biscuit-flavored bricks... Dry, heavy and sad... And they'll tell you that they are homemade.... But all the stories and all the jam in the world do no justify a second bite... Biscuits... More
