Even in gastro-haven Seattle with its brilliant chefs, fresh ingredients and farm to table vibe, you sometimes get a hankering for a simple hot dog. If so, Shorty;s is your place. Good drinks, dogs or sausages with all the fixings. That's pretty much it. And these are not gourmet dogs or a brilliant foodologist's hot dog concoction. Nope, simple stuff.... More

If you enjoy small dive bars with a weird subculture all their own, Shorty's is the place for you. With a ton of pinball tables in the back to two intimate bar areas to choose from, this is a must visit for the true local experience.

I have to go to Seattle for work a few times a year and this place is the best. Cheap beer, GOOD LOCALS, and they have Hot Dogs. What more could a man ask for when away from home? Oh, a cheap ($12 including tip) ride from any hotel downtown. Especially if you like Pin Ball; this place is awesome.

After an industry event needed a beer and a hot dog. Only real option in DT Seattle is Shortys. Yes, it is weird, and yes, the bar is high, and yes sometimes the service is off. That said, it is authentic ( if Belltown hipsters can be called authentic in any guise of the word! ). The back room is... More

Stopped by to have a drink and got sticker shock. Because they didn't seem to have A/C, we decided to sit on the front patio. Some real strange people frequent this place. Been there, done that.

Shorty's is weird. It has the vibe of a 1980's circus run down into the ground and taken over by a bunch of bikers and angry hipsters. It's a dark and dingy dive bar. Outside, people just stand in hoards, smoking cigarettes on the sidewalk, so it isn't even easy to get inside. The bar is way too high for... More

Yes? Then brave the creepy clowns and stop by Shorty's. I was told the place has become somewhat of a tourist trap but it's fun enough that I made two visits on a recent business trip.

Have been there many times and have received bad service all the time. Great if you are a hipster or a degenerate. I love dive bars but this one bites, bartenders would rather talk to there friends than serve even though I always tip a buck a beer, reeeeely!

This is your place! Found it by accident a couple years ago. It's a total dive in Belltown but so much fun. It's 21+. My husband and I always set a few hours aside every trip to Seattle to have a pinball & Galaga battle and relive our youth. There're all kinds of patrons. Be patient and you'll get service.... More

It is a fun place with a weird kind of carny clown pinball place. We got drinks and nachos and it was fun. Placed some good pinball.
