We've enjoyed many great lunches with sandwiches from Bakeman's. Wether you love ham and cheese or liverwurst…you will find the best of the traditional sandwiches right here at Bakeman's….and they don't scrimp on the fillings! Be prepared for long lines around the noon hour, but the line moves quickly and the wait is well worth it. Don't forget to say... More

Crazy cool lunch spot in Seattle's oldest neighborhood, Pioneer Square. I stumbled in after taking the Seattle Untamed Tour about the Klondike Goldrush, just down the street. Made the mistake of getting in line without knowing what I wanted to order and felt zapped into the soup nazi episode of Seinfeld! HAHA! I survived, and the food was great. Especially... More

If you can get past the look and feel, the food is good and they offer dessert. Most places now a days don't offer dessert.

The place feels slightly institutional, the helpful staff don't feel the need to be overly friendly, the choices appear a little limited, and the bus-person is very proactive. HOWEVER, the sandwiches are lovely: very flavourful without being overstuffed with extras. We shared a roast turkey on wheat, a meatloaf on white, and some potato salad. They reminded me of sandwiches... More

Always good, eat here whenever I'm in the area.. recommend the turkey sandwich with cranberries, also the homemade chilli is delicious. Review the menu before standing in line if you don't want to deal with the friendly soup nazi lol. Good lunch f or under 10 bucks is hard to get. Ow days

Just go here for lunch. The meatloaf sandwich is great and they just stuff so much turkey in to their signature sandwich. Soup is good too. Colourful cashier and friendly atmosphere. I will go back everytime I am in Seattle

We went there for lunch a couple and it is a fast service but they also expect you to decide what you want just as quickly so be warned if you have never been there before....but the soups and sandwiches are all tasty and filling.

What a refreshing discovery. After completing the "underground Seattle" tour, we found this nondescript restaurant a block away - on Cherry between First and Second. After descending the steps, enter the cafe and review the menu board to choose your favorite sandwich or daily special. We had turkey and dressing and skirt steak specials, complemented by squash soup and cornbread.... More

A great lunch deal. Good deals on sandwiches, I like the turkey or meatloaf the best. The daily specials can be good as well. A long time favorite with me. One down side only open on weekdays.
