Nice local spot. The fish and chips were great as was the salmon. The atmosphere is definitely "Capitol Hill". It's a fun place with good food and service.

Nice atmosphere, lovely wait staff. I had the chiliquilles and a Bellini. My partner had the bagel capers and lox. Delicious! I think this is a great spot to start off your day with a meal that's not too heavy, and instead just right.

Sat at the bar and had a salmon breakfast scramble called the smoker. Eggs were prepared perfectly- not too well done and not underdone. Good service and atmosphere. Highly recommend 👍

I've been a fan for years. (Which is why I'm not rating lower)Today's brunch was a big miss. We were so excited to see that the theme was Baja. So we both ordered the Calabacitas. The description said roasted corn-they must have run out and subbed defrosted regular corn kernals. The corn was definitely not roasted. Why is this such... More

I highly recommend the chowder here. It was one of the best that I've ever had! Lunch runs until about 3:00, but is still on the higher-end when it comes to price.

Great location in Caputal Hill district, delicious food, fun watching the chefs in the open kitchen, good selection, happy servers.

The reviews & menu of the Coastal Kitchen looked enticing so we made our first visit with good friends last night. The food was good. But the service was some of the worst I've had in years. The waitress with horn rimmed glasses who served our table was completely unenthused. Her customer service consisted of smirks and avoiding our table... More

Visiting the Pacific Northwest on backpacking trip, the Coastal Kitchen came recommended for great seafood and a good time. We were really looking forward to our meal, and while the food was good (and is the reason this place gets any stars at all) the service was awful. We entered and were shown to a corner table in the bar... More

We found ourselves in the Capitol Hill area at lunch time and decided to stop at Coastal Kitchen, where we ate wonderful meals a couple of years ago. I even ordered an oyster Po' Boy ($16.50) again, but this time it came with tomato and lettuce instead of slaw and included Romesco sauce. And this time, the oysters failed to... More

First, love the whole block. Lots of choices, no pan handlers, just a great street of dining options. Popped in here for a late brunch and was very pleased. Great food, a happy staff, Seattle right?, and a fun atmosphere. Prices were right on the money. Have to wait? Walk the block, it's great!
