The only better sushi I've had have been on my numerous trips to Tokyo. Shiros's has the usual popular standards, but also unusual and delectable options--butter fish, needle fish, etc. (we missed out on the barracuda unfortunately) The portions are decent, and well presented. Service was friendly, and helpful. This is more expensive than other places, but it's cheaper than... More

Managed to snag a seat at the sushi bar late on a weeknight at this justly renowned sushi restaurant in Seattle. I went with the omakase. The sushi chef gave me a dazzling array of fish, several rarely found outside the Pacific. The fish literally melts in your mouth.

The sashimi was very fresh and the seaweed salad was nice and refreshing. Also ordered the geoduck but found that a bit too salty for my taste. Also ordered a rainbow roll to share with friend. Food was great but place pricey. It costs about C$100 including 15% tips for a dinner for two. Recommend this place if price is... More

Went to Shiro in Seattle 2nd Ave on Friday. Place looked quite nondescript from the exterior. But it was bustling inside and you will be greeted by all staff and sushi chefs as you entered the place, exactly like what they do in sushi place in Japan. Ordered the regular sashimi, geoduck appetisers, seaweed salad and rainbow roll. The sashimi... More

Came to Seattle on business for a week and went to Shiro's Sushi on my brother's recommendation. I ended up coming twice! The rolls were great but the tuna and salmon nigiri were wonderful! I wasn't going to have dessert but the waiter convinced me and recommended Shiro's Flan Brûlée. What can I say, it was just amazing!! I will... More

This was our first trip to Seattle, and our first dinner in the city. We made a reservation for another sushi place down the street, but when we walked to it felt it was too pretentious. We canceled the reservation and walked back to Shiro's. So glad we did! The wait staff was friendly and fun from the moment we... More

Omakase by chef Aaron was probably one of the best sushi experiences. The quality of fish is fantastic. The variety is very unique. I think I tasted about 30 different types of fish skillfully served and prepared. I really appreciate good sushi, and it is difficult to find a good place anywhere. The price tag is very high, but I... More

I ate at the sushi bar at the end of August (2016). I opted for the chef's choice and the experience was great. I really appreciated the japanese-style sushi! Good food with an on average service.

I had excellent sushi here with a friend a while ago. It certainly is fresh and the real deal, but quite expensive. We paid $137 (including tip) for two. It was worth it, but ceratinly a splurge meal. Service is so so; that is why I put 'average' as a rating instead of 'very good.'

We were in the area and had herd nothing but great stuff about this place. We stopped buy with out a reservation and we were sat right away and they were very busy and it was a Monday night. We got the Chefs tasting menu our waiter Oscar said that is the best way to try it . And you... More
