We were in the area and had herd nothing but great stuff about this place. We stopped buy with out a reservation and we were sat right away and they were very busy and it was a Monday night. We got the Chefs tasting menu our waiter Oscar said that is the best way to try it . And you... More

Amazing restaurant. My two sons and I sat at the sushi bar and elected chef's choice. Chef Jun entertained us for an hour and a half with some of the best sushi I have ever eaten. A little expensive, but for the best sushi experience and being on vacation, it was worth it. Do not be afraid to say "no"... More

I've been here several times, the most recent was this week (attempted, was turned away as described below) The sushi is indeed fresh but the focus here is primarily making pretty sushi. So, the portions are small and given the star appeal the prices are high... too high for what is delivered. Also, the service is always snooty. The reservations... More

We read a review and decided to check "one of the top ten" japanese restaurants in Seattle, according to the review. The food was good but not exceptional...the restaurant is a bit noisy...and difficult to get a hold of (call waiting service makes you think no one answers the phone) Overall an average good restaurant but nothing special, particularly with... We waited in line for the place to open but don't count on that. Make a reservation and plan to be overwhelmed with an awesome experience. We sat at the bar and let the Chef serve up his choice. Across the board the freshest and tasty Sushi was presented time and again. Wonder filled adventure in dining.

If you like Japanese food, ordering the many tasty dishes served here can wind up pretty expensive...and you can still walk out wanting more (maybe that is good).

Went here every time I was on business here. Traditional dishes, and fresh fish. Generous servings of sashimi especially Toro. The specials are worth trying too like the soups served in a tea pot.

After reading the reviews and a few personal endorsements, I was so excited to try Shiros. My excitement was somewhat dampened by the over an hour long wait for a seat (for one) but nevertheless, how could I not try a place that some said was possibly the best on the west coast....don't they make the darn fish out here???... Shiro is an ex-student of Jiro. If you don't know who Jiro is or haven't seen Jiro dreams of sushi, you need to learn the former by watching the latter. This sushi is not like anything you have had before. It's a level of perfection you may have never tasted in any quinine, let alone sushi. Mind you, I speak... More

Shiro's, in Belltown, probably offers the best sushi and sashimi in Seattle (5 stars for food). However, we have had difficult times getting a reservation within a few days. And getting in without a reservation can be a challenge. There is usually a long line forming often well before the restaurant's opening time. On weekends it's nearly impossible. And you... More
