We went on a Monday morning around 10:00 am and were seated immediately on the second floor in a window booth. We had the Corned Beef Hash and the Vegetarian Omelet. Service was excellent and our orders came up after a very brief wait. The Corn Beef Hash was a very nice sized portion and looked and tasted like it... More

The Athenian has a bit of history -- Tom Hanks sat at the diner's counter for Sleepless in Seattle--plus good food and a great view of Puget Sound! Our group had a variety of food for lunch--my shrimp and fries were delicious, my husband had the salmon which he said was very tasty. The seafood chowder and veggie wrap are... More

Had a god lunch here. I got crab cakes and clam chowder. They both were good. The chowder was the best I've eaten. Creamy, thick, yummy!!!

Great seafood! Great view! Good price! Great location! The waiters and waitresses were helpful in providing tips on where things were and what you might want to do.

we were welcomed by Brett at this very busy Athenian seafood restaurant overlooking the bay, my husband had the 3 piece battered fish and chips, and I had the gorgeous chowder bread bowl which was massive, it was situated at pike place so very easy to find.

This is where the locals go. Whenever I'm entertaining friends from out of town, I always plan a stop at the Athenian for happy hour. Lots of local beers in frosty mugs at only $4 per glass, that's a damn good deal in Seattle. Affordable and hearty food specials as well such as a plate of 6 big chicken wings... More

The history of this place is pretty cool. It's one of the oldest shops in the market and has a great location. Seats look out over the sound, and there is an oyster bar towards the front of the restaurant. I ordered the whole dungie crab. I don't think this crab could have possibly been cooked any worse. It was... More

Yah Yah. I know that Athenian is a bit touristy. I don't care! Everytime I come back to Seattle I always want to stop in here. Perhaps its the waterfront views (which are amazing by the way), maybe it is the atmosphere (also amazing) which does not appear to have changed since the 1940's. However, I think it is the... More

After a rainy day (what else is new in that city?) we stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. The service was spectacular and we had a great view upstairs. The King Crab Legs and Halibut were very good - fresh, coupled with steamed veggies and rice. The wine selection was reasonable and very good quality. Can't complain about one... More
