You know you're in trouble when the restaurant smells fishy. Fresh seafood shouldn't smell. When the food came I confirmed my suspension. The trout was inedible.

Sure, it's buried in the Fairmont. But great service, a decent draught beer list, and oysters a buck fifty a piece during happy hour. And who'd have thought scallops would go so well with fried Brussel sprouts? Excellent.

What a jewel! Lovely restaurant with old, elaborately carved woodwork that made for a charming atmosphere. The bread is the perfect chewiness with the slightest sourdough taste, served with butter with black sea salt. I had the scallops, which were the perfect texture and wonderfully flavored, accompanied by gnocchi and wild mushrooms. My dining companion had the buttermilk fried chicken,... More

Four adults and a baby went for dinner to celebrate a 72 nd birthday. Everyone's food was perfect--black cod, pan-fried oysters, and a huge and delicious slice of chocolate cake was delivered to the table with 3 scoops of ice cream. We were treated very well--even with a baby in a stroller. We will definitely return to try other entrees.

You simply can't go wrong...the fish and seafood are fresh and the staff knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. Dining alone or with others is a pleasant experience, I wouldn't miss this place on my next trip.

So we were very lucky to even get a reservation on my husband's birthday since I hadn't planned ahead. It's one of our favorite Seattle restaurants both for the fresh yummy food and the helpful service from all of their staff. Our server was Rishi and he is the perfect one. Helpful with all of our wishes, especially a very... More

Did not expect a hotel restaurant to be so good. One of my most favourite restaurants in Seattle downtown and highly recommended. They make simple things like fish and chips taste absolutely divine.

Excellent service, helpful and eager to help you discover their specialties. Food was delicious, and with rather large portions for that type of restaurant.

Every time I make it to Seattle Shockers is a must restaurant for us! We love not only the good but also the decor! If you can, ask to sit in Jays section he's lovely, funny and one of the best servers I've ever had. Be sure to get the crab macaroni it's truly yum!

Enjoyed an absolutely fabulous dinner at Shuckers - the trout was excellent and the roasted broccoli not to be missed. Crab cakes more than held their own against any others we've had in this city known for its seafood. And the wine selection was a perfect fit for our meal. A definite good choice for a great dinner in Seattle.

Boasting the beautifully carved oak paneling and unique tin ceiling of the haberdashery it once was in the 1930's, Shuckers is one of Seattle's oldest and most pre-eminent oyster bars. With a daily menu featuring a selection of fresh fish and seafood, Shuckers brims with 13 different kinds of oysters prepared nine different ways and features local artisan microbrews.

The Zagat 2005 Restaurant Survey coins Shuckers as a 'Seattle classic' that is one of the 'best seafood restaurants in town' with 'great ambiance' and 'excellent service.'
