When I didn't see Cioppino on the menu our server said "no problem" we can make it for you! That is what I call service. And it was one of the best ever-fresh salmon, scallops, prawns, mussels and a really nice flavorful but not overwhelming sauce. $29 My husband had Osso Buco that melted in his mouth. Cannoli topped it... More

Tried this restaurant because of the reviews I read. I'll start by saying that the service was great. I was seated promptly at 8. Bread and water came to the table immediately. We quickly made up our minds about what to eat. For starters, we ordered bruschetta. The tomato, garlic and olive oil was nice, but the bread was so-so.... More

Took our Golden Retriever dog with us for dinner and staff were accommodating and got some water for him. Food came out within a reasonable time frame. Lovely house made olive oil with garlic and spices accompanied the bread - inspired us to make our own version at home. The "roasted beets" tasted like canned beets, but were still good.... More

I've been to this place many times for dinner. The food is good and the service is absolutely perfect. They are gracious and casual without hovering. This time we went for lunch... And it's even better for lunch. One of the few places you can have a quiet meal in that neighborhood.

We were a party of four and just happened to eat here, about an hour before closing. Were we happy, all 4 of us ordered different meals and all of us thought each meal was fabulous. Service was very good, very pleased and looked forward to a repeat meal, unfortunately it was a log weekend getaway and they were closed... More

Warm Thursday night dinner saw this place packed. Good thing we made a reservation! I had the pasta sampler (three pastas of my choice) and my wife's pasta was a special with prawns and scallops. Both mains were very good. We had started with two salads: kale and beet, again, both good. Lots of wines to choose from. I noticed... More

Very lively restaurant, went on a Wednesday night at 7 and it was packed. Quite noisy. We split the carpaccio to start. It was good but the parmesan slices were either a bit too big or too dry. Not sure. My wife had the spaghetti carbonara and it was terrible. Very little flavour and not creamy, maybe they forgot something.... More

Our last night of our Pacific Northwest trip found us not wanting to walk too far from where we already were. Assaggio fit the bill! Our vacation last year was in Venice, Florence and Rome where we certainly enjoyed fantastic Italian food. The food that we enjoyed at Assaggio was on par with the food that we enjoyed last summer.... More

Last evening in Seattle, Wanted something nice but easy. Great atmosphere , good pasta, soup, salad. Very friendly service, Polenta with wiled mushrooms great appetizer, interesting salmon, pasta with roasted garlic all great. Portions are on a big side. Make reservation ahead of time, the place gets full.

Wow, this was the best Italian dinner I have ever had! Conveniently located next to the Hotel Andra, this restaurant is beautiful. There are gorgeous paintings on the ceiling, the ambience is very cozy, and the rich, dark, wood furniture pulls it all together. The food is fresh and amazing! The staff provides excellent service and they do their best... More
