Boy, was this place ever a mixed bag. French restaurant with an excellent menu - that's good. In Pike Place Market - lessens the expectations of ambience. Absolutely fantastic Bloody Mary. They call it "Almost Famous." It should be famous. It was the best I've ever had; just the perfect blend of spices and horseradish with the quintessential amount of... More

Maximilien is inside the Pike Place Market area, and not entirely easy to find, but don't give up! We dined on the patio overlooking Puget Sound and had a wonderful meal - and excellent service from our [Moroccan] waiter, who paid us the compliment of speaking French despite our struggles. Would certainly go back if we return to Seattle.

Our waiter was engaging but a bit world weary. We had two French onion soups and two clam chowder plus beers for, gulp, 89.76. The soups were quite good. You are paying for the outside seating, location, and the view.

A group of us went for drinks and light snacks when visiting Pike Place. The view is absolutely amazing. We sat outside on a beautiful evening and enjoyed some drinks while watching the sun go down. we had some light snacks, nothing memorable here, there are probably better food options nearby, but the venue makes up for everything.

We were looking for a good dinner and were worried about taking a chance. We received a recommendation from a few locals about Maximilien and we are so glad we followed their advice. The food and service is equally as good! I have the muscles as a meal. I am a difficult customer as I am allergic to garlic. The... More

We were able to get a reservation on short notice and were seated on the patio on a glorious sun filled Seattle early evening. All our food was done to perfection, the escargot smothered in garlic butter was phenomenal, the onion soup reminded my bride of being Paris while our main courses of Cod and the Veal chop were succulent... Maximilien's has long been a favorite, and when you are pining for a meal that will feel like a little slice of Paris, this is a great spot. On our recent visit, my friend and I had the mussels and a croque madame, a frisee salad and the French onion soup. Everything was prepared impeccably. We sat at a window... More
