Fabulous lunch! We sat overlooking the water, but we could have been on the patio the weather was so nice. The fries (frites) were the best ever, the foie gras was as good as we'd had in France, the oysters were delicious, and the onion soup (French, of course) was great, too. And did I mention the sparkling rose'? Thomas... More

This is a French restaurant carved out of the Pike Place pier. It's a little slow and little pretentious. The food is rich and tasty, though my salmon was overcooked for my taste (not unusual -- I should have asked for medium-rare). A little pricey. Pretty much everything you expect in a French restaurant...

Best to eat outside on the patio if Seattle is having a 'heat' wave - about 3 days per year - The restaurant being on the Historical registry does not have AC. The wait staff is authentically dressed "à la Parisienne" and most of them speak french. (if not fluently, they try , I appreciated ). I had Coquilles St... More

With reservations hard to get on short notice in many better known Settle eateries, we came upon Maximilien and were pleased we did. Tucked within Pike Place Market, Maximilien takes full advantage of what the Market offers in seafood. The restaurant offers great views of the Seattle waterfront with well-prepared entrees. My dining partners enjoyed great scallops and I an... More

A small to medium, bordering on pretentious, combo tourist/local French place hidden down a hall behind the famous fish throwers. The menu is short, with but five entrees and seven (IIR) starters but wide in variety. My partner's duck confit was excellent, as were my coquilles St. Jacques, even though the portion there was only four scallops, certainly cheesy for... More

We had a wonderful table overlooking the sound. A lovely afternoon, with good company. We enjoyed a well paced meal with appropriate level of service. The croque Madame, steak and frites, fromage plate, pate, wines, bread, were delicious! We will definitely dine here on our next visit to Seattle.

While the restaurant has a very good waterfront view and good food, the staff were horrible! When we arrived we were told that we would have to leave our Starbucks coffees at the front desk to be returned as we exited. For those crazy Starbucks fans out there, these came from THE 1st Starbucks and we waited in line for... More

We arrived in downtown Seattle after A few days inRoche Harbor and wanted a simple, quiet, intimate restuarant. Concierge at one of the hotels directed us to Maximillian in the pike street public market. Probably not the typical Seattle foodie place , but met our expectations. Great view of the Ferris wheel and night lights looking out into the bay.... More

A nice long he on menu, with a noticeable French accent. Great service and good pricing...all in a very tourist oriented venue. I can recommend this very highly.

Found this by chance while walking through the Pike Place market. The food was great, the service was excellent, my daughter raved that it was the best steak she'd ever eaten. We went here for lunch, Definitely recommend!
