My friends and I stopped in without any idea what we're in for. Luckily, the Freska was a delicious treat. There's no menu so you get what they give you, but what you get is a delightful variety of treats. In one sitting I had bread, steak, oysters, eggplant, chicken, pasta, fish, and cake (small portions of course). The thing... More

At Pasta Freska there's no menu. When you are seated in this quite unusual place, filled with wall "frescos" and photographs, you are asked what food you DON'T want to eat. The rest is at the discretion of the very able chef. We got a 6 course meal - each portion was tastier than the other, and included fresh vegetables,... More

We just happened to hear about this restaurant, and were intrigued when we heard there are no menus! The chef shops daily for fresh ingredients and visits each table to greet you and determine what you should have based on your tastes and any special dietary requests. He also selects a wine for the table, which was excellent and not... More

STOP HERE!!! If you enjoy Italian food, this place is a MUST. Very small and cozy atmosphere, we were lucky enough to get there right at 5 when they open. So we were seated at a lovely window table. I recommend making reservations because when we left, the place was completely full. No menu here, you are completely at the... More

This is a quirky but very delicious Italian restaurant, a true neighborhood gem. We had early reservations, and the chef came right over to us and schmoozed about the food, asking if there were any foods we didn't like. We both said mussels, and he took that as a challenge. A few courses down, he included a couple of mussels,... More

I had made reservations for 6:00 and we were a bit early, so when we arrived we were sat right away. Mike, the owner, came to our table and asked a few questions of what we like, don't like, can't eat ...We never saw a menu the entire time, they just kept bringing out food for us. Sometimes we at... We came to this little gem of an italian ristorante, on a whim for my birthday last night. We loved it from the moment we walked in. From decor to serving styles, and to start the evening by speaking to the chef himself! Chef Mike came to the table, asked preferences of food type questions , from do you like... More

We were excited to try a delicious Italian meal. I read other reviews and noticed there was no menu at the restaurant. The chef talks to you about your food likes and dislikes when you arrive, and then serves you numerous courses. First, we had salads for three people. Second, they brought the most delicious eggplant parmigiana to us. They... More

In town for a wedding, we found this restaurant by walking by it. Seven of us went for dinner. The staff pushed the tables together and instead of handing us menus, started handing us platters of delicious food and bottle after bottle of good red wine. Each course was an authentic, amazing treat. More of our large Italian family joined... More
