If I need a beautiful "pick me up" during the day I head to Le Fournil. They make the best lattes, sandwiches and pastry! You have to go to believe it. My wife and I actually drove 40 minutes for a "Croque special" last week. I love the mild, but strong coffee and their croissants can't be beat. We went... More

Breakfast was very comfortable cafe/bakery and tasty. The coffee is Umbria, one of my favorites very mild.I was pleased to find it as it is my favorite coffee when I am in the Seattle area. I enjoyed a croissant with egg, cheese and bacon, absolutely wonderful. They have a breakfast special that includes a breakfast sandwich and (any) 12oz coffee... More

I wouldn't call it cosy, and our table was a bit wobbly - but who cares with such delicious pastries to choose from ? I could have imagined I was in Paris. Lunch with a friend with no-one rushing us. We each had a salad. Mine was a deconstructed egg and tuna on good fresh greens -I should have asked... More

Delicious lunch. Reasonable price and good food. Bread is nearly as good as France and service was quick. Both my hubby and I enjoyed our meals.

This bakery is so delicious. Besides their unique very tasty bakery items they have a lunch special that we get whenever we visit. The special consists of an entree, dessert of your choice up to $2.95, and a beverage for only $8.99. The atmosphere is comfortable and has a friendly accommodating staff. LOVE THEIR COFFEE ECLAIRS!!

Reviews seem to suggest that this bakery has gone downhill recently. I stopped by for some breakfast pastries, pain au raisin and plain croissants , and they were all fresh and tasty. I'd put them at 90% of a good patisserie in France. Much much better than a supermarket offering as one review suggested.

Yes, the Almond + Cinnamon had blended well in the Brioche and Croissant. Sadly the rest of the offering was near soggy and unappetizing. Went with great expectations but let down badly

Love grabbing breakfast when we are here. So nice to have them in the neighborhood. They've recently changed their sandwich making station so the toaster has been replaced by a microwave so we don't favor how greasy that makes the croissants. Aside from that comment to the ownership to review, this place is a gem!

Our Wallingford hosts drove over here because the highly acclaimed neighborhood bakery had changed hands and in their opinion had taken a significant step down. Too bad they now have to drive to get an average croissant. Le Fournil had great looking deserts in the case (and baguettes in the baskets) but the breakfast pastries were pretty limited to the... Time was, I would have said this was a pretty good French Pâtisserie. Now it has expanded and seems like a little pastry factory with mediocre everything. The quiches are still good, but the croissant and pain au chocolat are closer to those at the supermarket than to those in France. The Millefeuilles and Fruit Tartes look as pretty as... More
