I've eaten here several times, both for dinner and for happy hour, and I really like this place. Staff is friendly, they have great oysters, great chowder and it has a nice atmosphere as well. I really like the oyster happy hour, they feature one type of oyster on special, depending on where it came from and what kind of... More

I came here on a trip with my husband to figure out if I liked Seattle. Well I discovered I love oysters as long as they have some kind of sauce accompanying it. The jury is still out on Seattle.

Food was tasty but small portions (except for the trout) and a bit pricey. Easy to park on street. Risotto needed some flavor. Good waiter.

I enjoyed the food here a lot! The oysters and salmon were delicious. The reason I am rating 4 stars is because I lost some items here and while calling to claim the lost items, I could not get through to anyone. I left a voicemail and never got a call back. I also submitted a claim online and have... More

Met some friends here for dinner on a Wednesday night. We were seated right away. It took awhile for someone to wait on us even though the it wasn't busy, but the staff was very friendly. We started with the seared tuna appetizer. It was ok. There was an odd seasoning on it, but had decent flavor. It did have... More

This place is great! The food was phenomenal! We were seated right away. Given water. Drink orders taken!!! The service flowed. Our food was definitely cooked to perfection. The waitstaff were attentive. A finished plate was taken away in a timely manner. We celebrated Valentines Day a day early. Was perfect. I can also see this being a place I'd... More

It was a spur of the moment visit and no regrets. We really enjoyed the mix of dozen oysters, old bay fries, and drinks. No complaints. Everything was fresh and fries were not greasy. Drinks well done. Service was good. We'd return for dinner and try other things on the menu.

My first visit to this establishment and we had a really good time. We were looking for oysters and sushi. There were several different oysters to choose from. Our shucker cracked open some we had never tasted before so that we could sample them. Nice move on his part. We placed our orders and had a ring side seat to... More

We've been here several times. The oysters on the half shell are always delightful and they always have a good assortment to try. We've had some other items off of the menu also, specifically the fish and chips, which my husband enjoyed. Also, the crab gnocchi was I found quite tasty and filling. Nice relaxing atmosphere.

Description
The Ballard Annex Oyster House serves fresh NW seafood (we might sneak somethings over from the East Coast, I'm lookin' at you Maine Lobster!) seven days a week. We've always got 8 types of oysters behind the bar -where we serve a variety draft wines & beers, bubbles, and specialty cocktails- you'll also find us steaming house made chowders, bisques, and shellfish in our stainless steam kettles. Feelin' picky? Whole Dungeness Crab and the aforementioned lobster are also available to crack at the table.
