You would never expect to find a sushi restaurant at the extreme north edge of the city. Tucked into a renovated house this family run place works hard to serve up a nice meal. Service is nice and the options simple. Tried the ramen and Gunkanmaki. Will try it again. Two people, $50 plus tip

The Caterpillar roll was very good, but the Nigiri chef selection was not up to my expectations. Toyoda in Lake City is much better. Some of the fish was a bit tough. Service is on the slow side as the restaurant gets full. Tako salad with Ebi was also a disappointment.

The small house converted into a Japanese sushi restaurant looked quite interesting. Like a hidden treasure. When we walked in, I had some misgivings. Very little stock on hand was visible in the sushi case. We ordered some edamame as an appetizer - they came after dinner. We ordered sushi of various types - it was very slow, and moderately... Born and raised in Japan so it's hard to find good sushi anywhere else. This place is awesome. It's the best sushi we have had outside of Japan so far. The spider rolls are amazing, we love the seared salmon and also the poke roll. Definitely worth going. It's a cute little yellow house and the owners are great!

I ate at Kiriba Sushi on a Saturday for my friend's birthday. The rice and sushi was perfect. If you're looking for a hidden gem then you've found it. The problem is that you have to travel to Shoreline to get it.

Asian cuisine is all over the Seattle area, but here and there are hidden treasures of truly fine eating. Kirba Sushi and Grill is tucked off in a neighborhood up on N. 145th St., a mom and pop operation lacking any prevention whatsoever. Instead, they offer superb sushi, sashimi, and grilled Japanese favorites. If that appeals to you, it doesn't... More

Not much of a sushi lover, my son and I were desperate for a simple dinner close to home but not the same-old same-old. We were both pleasantly surprised at the quality of both the food and the service. The seaweed salad was very tasty as were the other items we ordered, even though we were not too sure of... More

Kiriba is newly opened and ridiculously convenient for me. Good sushi is hard to find in Seattle, so I had high hopes. My wife and I went there for lunch in an attempt to try it without the dinnertime expense. That attempt failed, more on that later. The building where Kiriba is located has changed businesses many times since I... More
