Overall, we had a very enjoyable meal at this small place, a bit out of the way in one of the trendier areas - kind of like the LES in Manhattan - with excellent, novel Italian dishes. I had the Agnolotti di melanzna (Eggplant and anchovy agnolotti with peperonata and parmigiano) and the rabbit meatballs - everyone raved about this.... More

The food itself was very good and worth eating. To be honest I don't do the fine dining thing and in the past at other places sometimes you are made to feel out of place whether deliberately or not. That was not the case at all here. The servers and staff were very helpful and friendly even if I was... More

Located off the beaten track in Seattle is a relatively small Italian trattoria known for the fresh pasta selections and moderately large wine selections including wines from Borolo. Reservations are a must. Service is excellent and the staff well-informed about the selections. The portions are generous but 1/2 sizes are available. Wine was pricey. I had the rib eye as... More

Based upon prior TA reviews, we enjoyed a fabulous -- albeit pricey -- foodie experience at Spinasse. On a not-so-busy Friday night, we went early, were welcomed warmly and seated immediately. Our server came over promptly with a friendly greeting, offering a choice of waters. He was so helpful in guiding us through the small but very specialized menu. We... More

Great dinner for friends. Many Antipasti to share. The poached eggs in Parmesan cheese was wonderful.. Prompt, attentive service. Small and intimate place, reservations a must. Rabbit meatballs and milk braised pork secondi were really nice.

We loved this place. Excellent service and excellent food. Our server was very sweet and helpful on selecting wine for our dinner. Husband and I shared the prosciutto appetizer (which I highly recommend - too much for one person). We both had a stuffed pasta - hubby had the lamb ravioli and I had a special eggplant stuffed pasta. Both... More

We tried to book a reservation somewhat last minute and none available. The called and had a cancellation and a party of five last minute. Truly a place you must experience as words really don't describe the reasonably priced food. Every disk was unique and delicious. You have to try the Tajarin al Ragu o Burro e Salvia (Fine hand... One of the bed Italian meals we have ever eaten was at Spinasse while visiting Seattle. A pleasant casual atmosphere with friendly service and delicious food, especially the freshly made pasta dishes. The pasta Bolognese is one of the best we've ever tried and not to be missed. We will definitely return when we next visit Seattle.

This restaurant specializes in the food of one of the great food and wine regions of that infamous boot-shaped country, Piemonte. Go for the egg pasta, tajarin, which is rare to find in the US. With the meat ragu and a good Barolo or Barbaresco from Piemonte, you don't need to get on a plane! As for wine, it had... More

We had a great time at Spinasse. We ate up at the counter, had a fun waiter. The only downside was it took a little too long for the next dish to come out. But the food was fantastic once we got it! Over all it was a fun evening. Would definitely go back.
