I continue to frequent Spinasse because of their delicious Northern Italian cuisine and excellent service. My favorite spot to be seated is at the chef's bar across from the pasta creation station. It is quite enjoyable watching the team create their many different delicate pastas and grissini while indulging in a fine meal paired with a Barolo or Barbaresco. I... More

We missed this place twice as we could not see the signage on a cold dark winter night :) however the meal and service made up for it. We celebrated our anniversary with my kids 9 and 15. We ordered quite a few dishes so we got to try almost had the menu and we have nothing but good things... More

The food was overpriced and unmemorable, and the service was terrible. Honestly, if you're going to spend this kind of money for Italian, you'd be better off going to the nearby LaSpiga (which has amazing Italian battered flatbread and is solid all around), or to the Northwest's best Italian restaurant, Café Lago in the Montlake neighborhood between the University District... The food was truly amazing. I had the Tamarin al Ragu o Burro e Salvia which is an egg pasta with sage. My niece to the same thing with ragu and we shared. I was so delicious. I loved the restaurant. We sat at the bar. Staff was laid back and very attentive. If you want a wonderful Northern Italian... More

I expect this is at best an average eatery in this price range. We had a nice meal in a pleasant setting, but as with a number of the places one finds these days who want to be on some leading edge, things seemed a bit over the top. We have a number of mushroom hunting friends, none of whom... More

Anticipating our trip to Seattle and our stay at the Grand Hyatt downtown, I looked for an Italian restaurant within walking distance of the hotel. The Zagat review looked good so I booked us into Spinasse. Our good fortune and well done, me. I'd rather be lucky than good. I'm an adventurous diner so, after thoroughly perusing the menu, I... This is my go to restaurant when I have people in town or if I am looking to have a romantic night with my husband. The ever changing menu makes it easy to make return trips and try new things. The servers are experts in their field. I always ask for wine recommendations when I go in because they never... More

I used to love Spinasse, but no longer. I had to pay $18 for a decent-sized glass of Barbera, and the entree was not as it was described in the menu. I ordered the pork which was described as being served with braised fennel & delicata squash. Yum--sounds like a great fall dish, right? But what was placed in front... More

Enjoyed a fabulous dinner for four on Sunday night. Everything was wonderful!!! The service was attentive and well done without being overbearing and the food was absolutely fabulous. We ordered the appetizer sampler that included all the appetizers and they were all delicious and so well balanced. I absolutely loved the pasta with truffles--one of the best dishes I have... More

They had us from the moment we walked in the door; staff greeted us and were attentive to our needs throughout the meal. We were guided through the wine list, which is heavy on well selected Italian labels, by our waiter, who recommended a wine we loved. The food (we started with the mixed appetizers: chicory salad with aged parm,... More
