Go early if you want a seat. The Xia Long Bao is delicious - and basically the only dish that I find worth the crazy effort to get a seat. The garlic green beans are good too but compared to Din Tai Fungs in other...More
I'll start with the good part. The food is goodl. Which is about the most important thing when you are eating, so this is why I gave it 2 stars, not one.

In a shopping mall on an upper level. Used my trusty Tripadvisor app and was not let down. Good quality food at reasonable prices. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Really enjoyed the dinner and surroundings.

The food was terrific! Light and tasty, not heavy and greasy. Previously dined at the Din Tai Fung in Hongkong and was very happy to find the downtown Seattle location. They don't take reservations and the lines can be long, but definitely worth the wait.
My friends and I ordered broccoli with garlic, brown rice, and a few types of dumplings. The waitstaff suggested cleansing our palates before eating the truffle dumplings, and they were delicious. I also had a lychee mojito, which I enjoyed.
