This classic diner is as interesting for its decor and staff as it is for its traditional diner-style food. It's certainly a throwback to the 50's diner, but there's also the walls of clocks that surround the dining area, some of which run backwards, or celebrate Betty Boop, or don't run at all ... The employees themselves are likely to... More

The front desk person at our hotel recommended Planet Java for breakfast when we were in Seattle near Pioneer Square. What a great find! It's got lots of old (60's/70's) signs and knick-knacks all over the place! So much to see! Food was fast and very good! Servings were plentiful. Our waitress (wish I could remember her name) was hilarious!... More

Great ambiance! I had the fluffy cheese inlet with fluffy hash browns and wheat toast. It was all hot and light and delicious! My wife had the California omelette with chai coffee and rye toast, all fresh and hot and light and tasty! We loved it and would go back everyday!

Good stuff! Bacon, eggs, French toast all were excellent. The 90's trippy vibe was great! Don't miss it because they don't have great signage. If you like diners this is worth the visit.

Went here based on reviews. Breakfast was just average and service was slow but the price was reasonable. There was no wait and the place was 3/4 full. Retro decor but the place could use a real good scrubbing. There is much better near downtown Seattle, et. al. Fonte Cafe

The atmosphere at Planet Java Diner is really fun, as is the music from the 50's and 60's. The breakfast was good (mushroom omlette and french toast combo). The eggs were poached to perfection & the french toast was delicious...even had sugar-free syrup there. We enjoyed the clocks and other memorobilia on the wall and the retro furniture from back... Came here on a recommendation. Not sure what to expect. Interesting menu. Lots of options. Very accommodating. Cute decor. Wish I was going to be visiting longer! Varied breakfast options made it difficult to choose. Large portions (really!) Planning to come back and try lunch...

This diner is a must for our every trip to Seattle. We walked 12 blocks for our last visit! Excellent food hosted in a classic 50& 60's era diner. Originally recommended by the concierge of an upscale hotel. Consistently great food and very pleasant service.

Retro style diner-kind of a fun setting. We both had salads - taco and chef. Both had enough ingredients. Why do restaurants still serve iceberg lettuce? Anyway, it was fine.

Thank greatcats
