We needed food at 9pm and they helped us put together some unusual soup and appetizer combos for sharing. The cold pork belly dish was a surprisingly good choice. Our waiter was concerned the cold presentation would be a shock for us but we enjoyed...it.More

Attracted to the restaurant that was full of Asians. I believe it was very authentic and the name spiceup summed it up. Service was excellent General Tso's Chicken a supercharged sweet and sour. However though I battled with the Cumin Lamb, it overwhelmed my palate...to the point my lips were more than Tingling. Took half an hour before water tasted the same. Great menu - but take care with the chili!More

This is a nice Chinese restaurant on Bell Street right off of third Avenue. There are draft beer pints here for five dollars. If you like spicy food this is a nice spot.

Located on Bell Street in Belltown, this restaurant serves authentic Szechuan cuisine. I selected the sautéed mushrooms, which turned out to be several varieties of mushrooms in a broth. The mushrooms were delicious but the broth was a bit too thicken with cornstarch. My wife...had the fish and sautéed vegetables and that had very tender fish with very few vegetables. The restaurant is very clean with comfortable, casual seating. Service is quick, as orders are taken soon after seating and delivered very shortly afterwards.More

Good food, a bit pricey though. Giving 3 stars because in my experience, they don't give rice unless you pay extra for it.

This was by far our least favourite meal on our trip to seattle. We found our meal to lack flavour and the terrible service sure didn't help. We visited at 3pm so the restaurant was not busy. The crappy part was the waitress demanded 15%...tip when we tried to give less. We're old school and feel a tip should be based on our experience. We gave in and gave more just to avoid issue.More

I first ordered the spring rolls, which were o.k. then I ordered the Dan Dan Noodles, they were horrible!!! The worst thing I have ever put into my mouth, when I told the waitress that I did not like them she took them away but...not off the check. The service was as bad. I had to physically get up to ask for the check since it seemed like I would be there forever waiting for someone to come to me.More

I was walking a new route between Seattle Center and Diwntown, intending to stop for a meal only if I found something exotic and interesting. Spice Up was exactly what I was hoping for. I will return to try other dishes, but Ma Pa Tofu...was what I chose to try to experience the Szechuan cooking I had found in western China, and missed ever since. It was delicious! The peppers were sweet, citrus-y and hot, or « tongue numbing. ». The portion was large enough to provide me some to take home. The restaurant is new, clean, with no crowds (late afternoon.). Once I got someone’s attention, the service was good. I’ll be back.More

It is hard to find a place near downtown Seattle for lunch without dealing with long wait. This place is packed but fast. Most important things are tasty foods and fair price! I enjoy the double cooked pork and cumin lamb! It is not that...spicy to me.More
