There is nothing fancy about this place, but it offers excellent, authentic Ethiopian food. We had a vegetarian plate and the injera was tasty and well cooked and paired well with the dishes. Service friendly and prompt and also took the mandatory photos of our gathering of people who had all worked with Ethiopians abroad. Ethiopian beers available. Did not ask about tedj. Some might consider it a bit mild as far as spices, but the flavors were quite authentic. Interestingly, there seems to be a range of Ethiopian restaurants at that intersection.

My husband and I are big fans of Ethiopian food and consider this cuisine one of our favorites—given its variety, ingredients, and delicious flavor profile. Our dining experience at Agelgil today was off the charts: the meat platter (with vegetables) was fresh, savory, and substantial. And many thanks to our waitress, whose service was gracious and caring. We left charmed by the owners and looking forward to our next visit. Ameseginalehu!!!

The staff are so friendly! The chef - Rahel - is such an amazing cook. Whenever I’m in town I always make sure to stop by. You have to try their sambusas and any combo on their menu! Truly an amazing experience with a family feel :)

When you walk into an Ethiopian restaurant and the clientele are majority Ethiopian, you know you've found a great place. The food is definitely 5 stars. The zilzil tibs are fantastic, although some pieces can be a bit chewy. Don't forget to ask for mitmita to dip them in. Prices are a bit high, but serving sizes are plenty. Be proactive in asking for what you need because the waitresses tend hang back and wait to help you until you call them over.

Saturday night did not have a heavy crowd. Obviously, the word has not gotten out about this simple, humble restaurant that serves excellent food. The food is brought on a large tray and you eat with your hands in the Ethiopian style. It is authentic, high quality, and inexpensive. Our family of 5 were all well fed and took food home for $60. We were waited on by the owner. Very friendly..

I love Ethiopian food. So on this business trip to Seattle, I noticed that many more Uber drivers were from Ethiopian or Eritrean, and to me, as a former Bay Area, CA resident could only mean that delicious cuisine awaited me! The other thing about drivers is that they know where the good food is, and one fellow I talked to named this place. I came in really close to closing time, but they were still friendly and let me stay and order. Theyt had run out of my favorite (doro wat), but the waitress's suggestion was excellent. It was also the first time I had the "black" injera - even more healthy but just as flavorful as the regular kind. As if to underscore its popularity among the Tigrinya community, the Uber driver I called to pick me up from the restaurant didn't actually want to come at first. As he explained later, he spends so much time there that he thought it was his friends there playing a joke on him!

I found this place after taking an Uber ride to a seafood place in Seattle. My driver said he was Ethiopian and I asked him for the best place in Seattle. He directed me to his unassuming little place and it didn't disappoint! The interior is very simple but the food is the star here. I have eaten Ethiopian food at many places and this was simply the best I have ever had. Very reasonably priced and the service was very friendly.
