Went in planning on simple reindeer sausage sandwich. Instead decided to splurge on the reindeer medallions. Terrible. Covered in a brown gravy that hid any possible taste. Nothing is better than a good piece of reindeer meat - but you would never know it from this meal. Included a nondescript salad and spoonful of mixed vegetables. Service was slow and... More

Very victorian looking house ,with its own garden outside where Olivia's grows its own herbs and veges which are used by the kitchen for the restaurants recipes. I went in through the side entrance of what I believe is the Inn ,where there just happened to be a magnificent piano player being played by a talented performer. Not sure if he... More

Waited over 2 hours for maincourse to arrive and the waiter, a young gent with a hat forgot our drink orders twice, when they main course finally arrived they forgot my order. We left without paying and was the first time I ever did that. By the way, I am a fine dining restaurant manager on a american cruise line.

Don't wait in line for the pubs around town - head straight for Olivia's. It's so cute inside, the staff is sweet & attentive (family-run!) and the food was out of this world. THREE WORDS: Salmon Puff Pastry. I wish I could've had 10 of them. The ingredients were super fresh (herb & veggie garden on-site!) and the menu as... More

Lots of interesting options on the menu here. Fish and chips were exceptionally good. The halibut baked in pastry was not quite as exceptional as it sounded.

We found this little place while walking around Skagway during our Alaskan cruise adventure. They offered a full pound of King Crab Legs! Who can resist that! We went back for dinner and oh my! What a delight! The legs were sweet and juicy and the seafood chowder that came with it exceptional. The staff was pleasant and attentive and... More

We recently had lunch at Olivia's while visiting Skagway on a cruise ship. The guides on our morning tour recommended them and said that Olivia's is the "fancy" restaurant in Skagway. Obviously, that's relative. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately and the staff was very friendly. We were looking for Alaskan red crab legs and Olivia's had them for a... More

We decided that we wanted to experience some authentic Alaskan food as we were on a 7 day cruise from Vancouver to Anchorage. The waitstaff were very friendly. The restaurant has their own veggie garden next door so the produce stands out and is of extremely high quality. The Alaskan King crab nachos are amazing and a must try. We... More

Been to Olivia's for lunch with friends. The room I small with lots of tables too close each other. It was full and therefore chaotic have. The menu is not big with the classic Alaskan dishes. Food is nothing special, just average. Service a bit slow. A bit priced for the quality and quantity of the food.

I read some of the recent reviews, so was skeptical to try Olivia's. It was so darn cute though we had to go. The restaurant is much quieter than others in town and had a more upscale atmosphere. There were real flowers on the table and Norah Jones music on. There appeared to be 2 servers on. Ours seemed a... More
