We chose this restaurant as it had typical French cuisine. Most of us chose Coq au Vin for mains however one of our party found a piece of tin attached to his chicken. When we asked to speak with the chef he smiled wryly and said they had to leave it attached to prove the chicken came from Bresse. Surely... More

Pretty spot, great service. Prompt, efficient, great menu, food, wine list. We thought it would be a touristy spot, and perhaps it is, but the prices really did not reflect this. The server put down a nice linen runner and napkins, and we proceeded to have a really fun lunch, with a beautiful view of l'abbaye. It appears that the... More

Good food and friendly service. Very good value. Local people there too. I ate outside with a direct view of a tower of the stunning abbey.

After visiting the Abbey time for 10 of us to have lunch. The restaurant is located in a quiet street & we all had the EUR 22.90 menu which allows various choices within the three course meal. Not one course was outstanding but a number were OK considering the price - the real disappointment was the Coq au Vin (purple... More

We had a good value menu at 22€ including Coq au Vin. This little restaurant is much less pretentious than many of the restaurants in Tournus( which is known for its four Michelin starred restaurants). The service was good, relaxed and friendly. It is in a quiet side street and we enjoyed sitting outside on a warm evening. Popular with... More

The heading says it all – a typical rural French restaurant. Sit outside, watch the world go by, good menu, inexpensive wine, pleasant service.

This was a great little restaurant for weary travellers who don't want to go through the 'fine dining' experience. We enjoyed a terrific meal and fabulous service - and at a good price. Would recommend without hesitation.

We chanced on this restaurant while sight seeing in Tournus. The menus outside looked interesting so we returned in the evening. We were first customers of the evening so had a good choice of the 10 or so tables. We were given time to translate the menu and the server helped by describing the dishes we were not familiar with.... More

A friend and I shared a very nice dinner here. The decor has a homey feel and the friendly staff serves excellent food at a good price. We enjoyed Burgundian dishes like egg in wine sauce and escargot.
