This place is delicious! We had the goat cheese burger and the Kalua loco Moco and enjoyed both meals throughly. The staff was very kind and the food was wonderful.

Grandson said give it a 5 because it was the best cheeseburger he's had. Granddaughter said 4 because cheeseburger was good but fries not so good. Had kalua plate and it was good. Service was good. So rating is 4 1/2

We found this place tucked away behind some shops but over time word of mouth will speak volumes.....good burgers! Also don’t be put off as you look at the front window which seems dark with tint for apparent reasons, to keep the sun out. Just...More

We were truly impressed the quality and taste of Island Ono. My husband had the goat cheese burger...yes I know it sounds strange, but it was AMAZING! Such unique flavor. I had the volcano burger which was also delicious. The onion rings are great. They...More

It is not a typical sit down restaurant but still very good. Get there somewhat early since they do run out of items. The smoked bacon burger is very solid but I really wanted to try the macadamia pesto burger but they were out :(

Really quite good burgers but not the 8th best in the US. that sign sets the customer expectations way too high. Very good service. Let’s say .....maybe the best burgers in town.

We found this restaurant because of a sign on street declaring themselves the 8th best burger in the USA. Not even the burger was ok. My complaint is that the bun was non existent. It was so thin that the burger was slippery and messy....More

Had the bbq cheeseburger with onion rings. It was nice, the burger was moist and juicy, but I wouldn't rave about it. If you feel like a burger tho, it's a good place to go.

Delicious American char-grilled food with Hawaiian influences, served quickly and inexpensively. Featuring as many local ingredients as we can, including the delicious Punalu'u Bake Shop Hawaiian sweetbread buns for almost all of our sandwiches, goat cheese from Hawaii Island Goat Dairy, lettuce raised in Waimea, and tomatoes from Oahu. All of our burgers, fish, chicken and hot dogs are char-grilled for smokey goodness! We're the only place on the entire Big Island to get Vienna Beef hot dogs, the best hot dogs in the world! And we're also the only place in the state of Hawaii to get that Midwestern classic, the pork tenderloin sandwich. The sweetbread makes them amazing! Our French fries and onion rings are fresh cut every day. We lightly batter our onion rings, which makes them crunchy and delicious! Do you want to taste what fresh fish tastes like char-grilled? It's amazing, and we offer it here. We only offer fish caught here in Hawaii, and it's never, ever frozen. It's wonderful to live in a place where you can eat fish pulled out of local waters! We're a little hard to find but worth the effort. We're in the back of Ali'i Sunset Plaza, behind Lava Java and The Sandal Stop.
