Delicious American char-grilled food with Hawaiian influences, served quickly and inexpensively. Featuring as many local ingredients as we can, including the delicious Punalu'u Bake Shop Hawaiian sweetbread buns for almost all of our sandwiches, goat cheese from Hawaii Island Goat Dairy, lettuce raised in Waimea, and tomatoes from Oahu. All of our burgers, fish, chicken and hot dogs are char-grilled for smokey goodness! We're the only place on the entire Big Island to get Vienna Beef hot dogs, the best hot dogs in the world! And we're also the only place in the state of Hawaii to get that Midwestern classic, the pork tenderloin sandwich. The sweetbread makes them amazing! Our French fries and

Lunch. What else? Friendly diner, Hawai’ian style burgers, breezy, clean and really tasty food. Half plate options great for a light luncheon.

This was the second time that I’ve visited the Island Ono Loa Grill and it was just as good if not better than the first visit. I can only vouch for one sandwich here - The Hot Mess Kalua Pork sandwich with a fried egg...More

Great sandwiches and burgers! The staff was friendly, and the restrooms were clean. While it isn’t right on the water, the location is great.

We stopped in for the promoted "best burger" and it really was excellent. We upgraded to the local grass fed option. The fries and the pineapple coleslaw were also excellent.

We ate light most of our trip so saved one night for a burger. As their sign says, yes, it's a little dark inside. We ordered one plain well done (my traveling partner) and I ordered medium rare grass fed with toppings. Her fries were...More

This is a must every year. Now they offer local grass fed beef for $1 extra. They don’t serve beer, so we take it back to our condo. The onion rings were a bit soggy (maybe that was due to the delay in eating them,...More

Thank you for the kind review! AND, you are welcome to BYOB here so you don't have to take our onion rings out. They definitely suffer from travel and are best consumed here (but love your solution!). And you have refined taste buds. We just...More

Went here last night and really had a good juicy burger… We upgraded to the local grass fed meat and it was delicious. Chicken on the salad was super tender… The salad wasn’t that large but it was really good
