I think that Anthony Bourdain would have loved this place. He would have thought he was in France. The food was excellent, along the wine pairings.

First of all, this is place to come to enjoy a fine meal, there is no view, it is a small and pleasantly intimate restaurant and don't expect to walk in and be seated...reservations are required and it is worth the effort to make one...More

Our relationship with La Bourgogne got off to a bit of a rocky start. As is my custom, I’d researched restaurants a bit before we’d left on vacation and had earmarked this establishment as a future choice. But when the time came to reserve with...More

French restaurant, with very good food. I doubt there is anyone working there who is actually from France, but food very good regardless. Not much of an ambience, unless you enjoy feeling like you are eating in a cave. Service adequate, with a few slip...More

Away from the beach and the touristy places, La Bourgogne (25 years and counting) is tucked away in a business strip mall just south of Kailua Kona. Nothing Hawaiian about the decor, food or view--in fact there is no view, and no windows that haven't...More

La Bourgogne has been a Big Island institution for 25 years and we have dined there during our regular visits to the island over the past 15 years. Tucked into the ground floor of a nondescript office building in Kona, La Bourgogne may be a...More

One level, no big steps. I'm not sure about the restroom. Hawaii casual is fine.

You can look up the phone # on line and call. We made are reservations before we got to Kona. I would suggest doing so it is a very small place, But well worth going.
