Heard from the owner we should give his place a try before we left. So glad we did! The freshness of each meal we ordered, there were 4 of us, was amazing. We will definitely come back next year for more fresh fish, just off...the hook!More

This place was impressive. We felt very taken care of by all the staff asking us how everything was. We had the poke sampler and fish and chips. Both were very good. Enough fish and chips for 2+ people! Would highly recommend for their quickness...and attention to detail.More

First meal upon arrival in Kona and Umeke’s was advertised in the reviews. Poke is their signature menu offering and it was easy to see it was the most popular with the busy lunch crowd. My wife and I were hungry for fish tacos and...Umeke’s has added their own unique twist with a combination of taste pleasers. Mahi-Mahi is the fish (what else would there be in Hawaii?) and it is prepared either Cajun style or Tempura. I loved the Cajun style with aioli sauce. My wife enjoyed the Tempura but after sampling hers I thought the batter a little too thick. Either way, we agreed they were both outstanding. Our server was attentive even with a busy lunch crowd. All in all Umeke’s was as advertised. Parking can be a little difficult to find; just be patient.More

Recommended to us by a waiter at another restaurant. We had lunch and it was very good. Poke and a grilled belly of tuna both hit the spot. My partner had grilled fish special and she ate it all which says a lot. It was...$80 for two of us which I think it’s high, but if the food is good it’s hard to complain. Don’t look for great atmosphere, views or service and you will be ok.More

That is how good it is for a lot of variety to keep whole family happy. One time had and Ahi burger that was outstanding. Very fresh fish and very tasty sauce and veggies. Fries are a different shape than I have ever had but...they are crisp and tasty. Had chicken dish that was real good. There are many sides to choose from my preference in the Mac salad but wife's is the spicy crab. Good service and well run operation. BE Warned that parking is limited if not impossible during busy night and even at lunch.More

It’s a Tuesday at about 3:30pm and this place is already packed out, very noisy. We decided to eat outside, hedging our bets that the road traffic will be quieter than the inside of the restaurant. The waiter was efficient and took the drinks order...quickly and they arrived in a reasonable amount of time. He then took the food order, fish and Furikake fries $25. Well cooked, nice chunky pieces of fish and it wasn’t too oily. I had the 3 Tacos Cajun Grilled fish $14 again well cooked, tasty and very large portions. We did order a side of tempura shrimp $18 Way too much food due to the size of the plates. Took it home. We will go there again.More
