Chubby's Diner gets points for being open late! My husband and I were on vacation in Kona and looking for a late night spot to grab some local island grindz and saw that Chubby's was open after 10PM when a lot of the other local restaurants around the area were already closed. The location was a bit hard to find... More

Love the food and love the staff the atmosphere is pretty hype but the great food makes up for it. The price is good and the sauces are soooo good.

Workers nice enough, but a long wait for below average food. L&L is a poor representative of "local" food but sad to say it would have been a better choice on this day.

We stopped in because we saw the great ratings and a local recommended it. Loved that you can order from the breakfast menu at anytime, waffle was delicious. It was a little hard to find because the name is not on the outside of the building but inside a bowling alley. You hear pins and lots of noise from a... More

Omg, soooooo good! We ate here three times. We had Loco moco, with fried rice, Kalu pork, egg over easy. One order is enough for two adults. It's in the bowling alley, so be prepared for the sound of pins and kids video games.....

We took a recent trip to Kona and found this place still open after our night dive with the Mantas. We were hungry! I had saimin three places on the Big Island, and surprisingly this place had the tastiest broth. Dinner was delicious!

The place we were going to go for breakfast well, we never made it so our friend who lives in Hawaii recommended this place. I consider this restaurant a "little hole in the wall" since it is a bowling alley. His nephew loves this place and their family eats there when visiting from Hilo. While my husband and i were... People come to bowl, play video games...and have a meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our "plate lunch" meals... Very good gravy, macaroni, meat, etc...if we had time I would go back.

Considering the place and the size of the kitchen, this place which located inside the bowling alley has delicious selections

Chubby's Diner is tucked away, of all places, in the bowling alley. Food is good and affordably priced. Specials every day. My favorites are pot roast, curry hamburger, and shrimp Alfredo. Breakfast is served all day also and kitchen is open until almost midnight. If you have room for dessert, the brownie sundae is amazing and BIG. Shareable. Service is... More
