Went for happy hour and enjoyed a front row seat to watch the sunset. Drink and food specials were awesome! Also if you are seated during happy hour, those prices apply until you leave, even if happy hour is over (which is an awesome deal!). Would definitely recommend stopping by!

Our friends went here one day and wanted to go back. The huevos rancheros and cinnamon roles were really good. I had a tropical waffle which got cold really fast due to the fruit on top. As we were about to leave, the waitress returned a 50 dollar bill that our friend had given her thinking it was a 20.... More

3 of us had the 10 oz prime rib with garlic mashed, veggies, toast and salad. $28 each. One off the plates was majority good meat while the other 2 were about 50% waste of fat and grizzle. What meat I had certainly did not "melt in the mouth". Horse radish sauce was the most mild I have ever had.... More

What makes this breakfast taste so good is the view. Sit facing the ocean and have a nicely prepared omelet or Benedict and you'll find it most enjoyable. Service is friendly, portions generous and it makes for a great way to meet the day. Parking is available behind the restaurant and shopping complex.

Between the homemade bread, the perfectly cooked eggs, and the great service by Julie- this is a perfect place for breakfast. We would definitely go back again if ever in Hawaii again.

Bongo Ben seems to specialize in breakfast. Big plates with plenty of food. They are a good place for dinner and drinks also. Right on the main drag with sunset views.

The food here is really good! We ate there four times. Best fish & chips on the Island. Also had the moco loco, fish tacos, nachos, poke, and drinks. They are located right on the main drag looking at the water and very good for people watching. The staff are friendly and hard working. Pricing was better than most places... More

We stayed at the Royal Kona Resort. Searching for a place to eat within walking distance of our hotel we found Bongo Ben's. Great food, service and friendly. We were on the Big Island for ten days and most days we ate breakfast at Bongo Ben's. it was also a fun place.

They make their bread fresh daily and you can tell. Loved the bread! I ate their homemade whole wheat bread with butter and it brought back a flood of childhood memories! Sooooo yummy! Fresh omelettes and great bloody Mary's too.

Wanted to watch the sunset in a good location and have a drink, so we went to Bongo Ben's. Didn't realize that we got there right before their Happy Hour ended, so we got 1/2 off our second appetizer. My husband had the Teriyaki Steak with fries and I ordered the half portion of the Seafood Platter, since my husband... More
