This is a great place that the locals love. The French bread is to die for and they have $5.00 lunches. The Thai sandwiches are scrumptious. I recommend the lemongrass chicken.

The Vietnamese noodles--cold or hot--are delicious here. The prices are not cheap, but for what you get, the food is very good. (Kona is the town of bad restaurants.) The interior is like a cafeteria, so don't expect atmosphere. Again, the food is very good.

My second dinner there. As before, nice selection of Vietnamese cuisine and French sandwiches. No table service (order at register and food brought to your table). Plain tables and chairs but clean and the service was fast and very good. Locals and tourists eat there. Good value.

I cannot speak for anything else on the menu, because I always get the pho. Seriously, I go at least twice a week because I'm too lazy to pack my lunch. So good! A friend recommended this place or I would have never gone in, so glad I did. Pho comes in 3 sizes, you can have them leave off... More

Yes, the place is filthy and all my previous reviews have tried hard to convince the owners to invest in new chairs and tables. However, I have to admit that this is the best banh mi (vietnamese sandwich) I have had. Fresh-baked bread, warm tofu, fresh pickles. It can't get any better. Skip all other gentrified dishes, stick to what... More

I had big expectations since this restaurant was recommended by lonely planet. I was disappointed by the taste of the food. The taste was boring, no special flavour. Would not recommend the restaurant.

Came here for a dinner during our stay in Kona. I was very disappointed with the food. The beef noodle soup we got was close to $11. The broth was decent, but it was plain and did not contain as much meat- very little amount. Not worth the $11. We also got one of the sandwiches that was about $6.... More

for being tucked away in the corner of a small strip mall, this place is usually quite busy, and it's no wonder! they have really good pho and the lemongrass bahn mi is very tasty, as well. you'll be glad you found it.

You can choose from rice noodles or regular Asian noodles. I like both. Soups come with lots of vegetables, a full meal. We always order the tapioca too- the coconut tapioca is so rich and creamy. Place has it's own bathrooms and is located in the KTA shopping center in the heart of Kailua Kona. Easy to find. Not pricey... More
