We really love Huggo's! The breakfast, especially, is fabulous. You also get lovely views right on the ocean! We saw a pod of dolphins swimming not too far off shore and some humpback whale breaches. Great atmosphere and location!

You can't beat the view: right on the water in downtown Kona. But I'd stick with drinks (or go next door to sister restaurant On the Rocks) instead of dining. The dinner entrees are $30-$40 and if the appetizers we had are any indication, unlikely...to be worth the price. Also, service is just OK. But that view -- fantastic.More

We have eaten at Huggo's on 2 separate occassions and were not disappointed. The food was great and the view was fantastic! I will go here again and again if possible.

Best breakfast we had in Kona. There are too many great sounding items on their menu to choose from. We loved the Eggs Benedict and Breakfast Pizza. We saw their pancakes that were almost 1” thick and cooked throughout which no one could finish. Hint-Split...the cakes and add the bananas and walnuts.More

We had a great dinner with friends at Huggo’s We sat at a sea side table with an amazing view of the ocean. Our waiter (Chad) was at the top of his game. He had great suggestions on what to order and was very attentive...but not overbearing. The food was delicious and I highly recommended the coffee cheesecake for desert.More

Spectacular meal with an awesome sunset view at the waters edge. Best prime rib I’ve ever had. Mango and avocado salad was delicious. Dessert was a spectacular coconut cream cake big enough for four. Service was also attentive and friendly! Most memorable evening.

We had a very good dinner at Huggo’s right by the water. The scenery was so nice! There was live music, the performer was excellent!!! (He should have an album!!) The waiter was kind and knowledgeable of the menu. We had a very good evening...there!More

The pub food (Pupu's) at Huggo's restaurant is excellent. Limited seating, but prompt servers and great food and drink make the bar an excellent spot for a light meal. If you are really hungry, sit in the restaurant for a full line steak and seafood...menu. Either venue is an excellent choice.More

We ate at Huggos three times while on our recent trip; one was a dinner, the two were breakfast. The food and service was good, but not exceptional. The prices were on the higher end. BUT, the view from almost over the water is the...best in town. A must to try when in Kona. Need to make reservations for dinner, but not breakfast.More

They do serve really good breakfasts, and great breakfast pizzas, which I couldn't wrap my head around at first. However, they are awesome. Enjoy!

I did no sot see eel either. Just remember to sit away from the other Huggo's, though, if you want quiet.
