Jackie Rey's is a popular spot but they take reservations (so important!!) The staff is exceptionally nice and the food is solidly good. It's a fun restaurant.

Very friendly restaurant with great food. We were warmly greeted by the hostess and given a glass of bubbly while we waited. We had a fantastic dish of Ono and Ahi with mussels- delicious!

One of the best dinners we had on the big island. It fills up pretty quickly, so we sat at the bar, which has the full menu. The bartender was great and so were the cocktails, especially the Lilikoi Martini! We had the kalua pork spring rolls as an appetizer, which were excellent - and for the main course we... More

we stayed in a hotel with no restaurant. We ordered five dinners which were too expensive of the quality. It worked out to be the same price as five a la carte meals, for just five burgers.

We had the catch of the day for dinner and shared a creative appetizer. This is a no frill restaurant that serves good, local food with an emphasis on seafood. The food was very good, but we felt rushed, as the courses came too fast after each other.

Nice little place. Friendly staff, open setting, Beautiful presentation. The trip advisor photos is what made me want to come here. We had some coconut curry soup to start and the kahlua pork rolls, both delish. Both my boyfriend and I had the special which was Ahi with Panko and wasabi crust. I'm weird about mixing sweet and savory sometimes... More

Dinner at Jackie Rey's was interesting and fun. First, the place is old style, retro decor (or maybe never changed) filled with super casually dressed locals and visitors. Nothing fancy or overstated. All staff were active, friendly and happy. Makes a difference. We shared the Poke appetizer which was enhanced with various sauces drizzled on the plate. Very good. Each... More

We went twice in Jan 2017 for dinner. The first time they were slammed but our server was still very attentive and everything went smoothly. We were in no hurry so we were fine. The second time was a Sunday and things were calmer. We got the same server and same great service. The farm plate and the ribs were... More

Over the past month, our group of seven family members has eaten lunch at Jackie Rey's three times. Each of the fish dishes we tried were outstanding. My son, who decided to try something other than fish, raved about the chicken sandwich, "The best I ever had!". My brother-in-law and my mother-in-law had the daily fish special one day, which...
