Nice dinner with tasty food

We tried several restaurants on the island and this was the best. The place is very popular, but they have a lot of tables so you can almost always find 1-2 free ones even without reservation. The staff is friendly and their homemade bread is always fresh and delicious. It usually contains 2-3 kinds of bread, our favourite was the black one made with squid ink. The food is really tasty, we tried almost all of the fish dishes and they were lovely. They always offered some local rakija or liqueur at the end of each meal. The prices may be a bit higher than in other restaurants but it totally worth it.

We went for family dinner

We went for family dinner and was impressed. the food is super fresh, the service is fast, they are very friendly and they also offered us 4 shots (courtesy of the restaurant) when paying the bill. It really was a very good decision to have dinner here.

The best restaurant in Rogoznica!

We ate delicious food and expirienced real dalmatian spirit and view. The restaurant is family-friendly and has a nice plating. Even thou there was a big crowd all around and in the restorant, we felt calm. I recomend you visiting this restaurant in the evening at the sun-set time (golden hour). 🌟🌟🌟

Service was decent, just a notch too pushy for my taste. We got our table fairly quickly, but then they kept bringing us food we didn't order (basket of bread, for example), and will be charged for it. Food was average, and that is the main reason for this review - as we expected much more. Kids were particularly disappointed. Even though restaurant provides a nice view of the sunset, no need to visit again.

The vegetarian dish too salty

We had a group booking, with predefined menus. The servers worked hard to get all dishes served at the same time. Not all worked as ordered, but no clue were the fault was made. The restaurant adopted quickly. The fish was good but the vegetarian dish was way too salt.

This was the best restaurant we went to during our trip to Croatia. Location was so pretty by the sea and service was excellent. We finally got to taste some seafood and fish at a very decent price. The fish platter was an excellent choice, with a combination of shellfish and fresh fish. Pretty packed on a weekday so make sure you book a space.

Poor food - avoid in summer season

We visited on purpose, ate here 11 month ago in out of tourist season and was very good. This time food was just a disappointment- we had mussels / pasta with mussels - the mussels were not cleaned at all. Camari chewy and not tasty. ....not worth a visit at all.

I think it must have been a good address before but it is no longer. 2 dishes returned out of four… The boss thinks he has a great chef in the kitchen and doesn't understand why you don't like his mediocre food. I have been sailing in Croatian waters for 7 years and this is without doubt one of my worst culinary experiences

True love for food and guests

Honestly, I don't eat at restaurants because they disappoint me. I pay dearly for food worse than I cook myself. Even though I was brought to the "Mario" restaurant by true gastronomic connoisseurs, I did not expect anything special. However, "Mario" completely blew me away. Ate all the fish dishes and I can only say that they are unbelievably good. Top! I have only words of praise about the service. They are unobtrusive, relaxed and very natural. They work with heart and sincere love for food and guests. I wish them many successful years and good health. I promised my husband that I would bring him here for dinner next summer. 😉 See you. THE BEST Creamy prawns soup - I would like to come back to Rogoznica only for this dish someday. Grilled Calmari quite good but... there was some kind of "sand" in the dish. Not sure if it's uncleaned squids or grilled charcoal.. Unpleasant to eat.

Had dinner at this place at the right edge of the harbour. Good view of the water with efficient service. The pasta with small scampi was pretty tasty. Very nice fresh branzino carpaccio. Grilled scallops and the small fried fish along with the octopus salad was doable. Pretty decent black squid risotto.

A must on every visit to Rogoznika. Super friendly service and delicious food. I love the calamari fritti with delicious crispy fried potatoes and homemade remoulade. But everything is delicious and in the end there is always a schnapps on the house....

We come back every year, the location is top, the service is friendly, relaxed, professional, the food is a real treat. Excellent value for money. Individual requests are easily accommodated. For us it is still number 1 in the region. We would love to come back.

The icing on the Rogoznica cake

Rogoznica exceeded expectations and Mario's was the icing on the cake. We could only eat out once and fortunately we choose Mario's. The food was outstanding, the location and atmosphere was perfect for our last night in Croatia (this year). And the Service was exceptional. It was very busy but Marija made us feel we were getting exclusive service. I like to experiment but why when you hit gold the first time.

Excellent food on a beautifull terrace. Amazing ambiance and exeptional service, insipred cuisine masterfully presented. Great wine list provides an exellent opportunity to try the very best Croatian wines. The dishes are real peace of art. Service was exeptional. The owner and hoast Mario is very friendly and proffesional. I feel we were getting exclusive delicious food on beautifull location by the sea. We are definitely coming back. Hightly recommened!!!
