The "Kapetanova kuca" restaurant is situated on the most attractive location on the Mali Ston waterfront. The name was derived and chosen as such due to the fact that it was the centre and dwelling place of the Mali Ston Guard Captain. The "Kapetanova kuca" was opened on 1 September 1986 and back then it was a family tavern. It is owned by Kralj family, one of the oldest families in Mali Ston. The restaurant offers specialties of the Mali Ston Bay exclusively, and includes a large winery of Peljesac wines.

Professional service, very nice ambient and great local cuisine. We had great homemade pasta with shrimps, delicious shrimp soup, tuna steak, scallops and some shrimp pate for appetizer. For dessert make sure to choose “stonske makarule”. Definitely will come back to try something else.

A seaview restaurant located in Mali Ston at the entrance of Peljesac. Very good place to stop if You travel by car to Orebic or further to Korcula. It serves a variety of fish and meat dishes - very fresh and well prepared! It’s not...cheap but value You get justifies the price. I would recommend it to my friends! :)More

Best oysters I’ve had in my whole life and the best black ink risotto. We couldn’t stop eating, this’s the why I didn’t take pics of the black ink risotto 😂 the service was good and I loved they allow the cats around the restaurant....I felt at home there. Will be back for sure. ❤️More

We (my Wife & me) decided to visit place from Dubrovnik Palace hotel and we are not sorry... it was everything perfect. Oysters (row, grilled, breaded), mussels, mixed shells, domestic pasta with sea food, octopus salad and bottle of Posip, Dalmatian Wine. Will come again...

We have expected a bit more - not so much in service, but in food. As we don't like raw oysters, I can say that prepared oysters are much better in neighbouring restaurant. Risotto kapetanova kuca was very good, but again, not extraordinary

We were on roadtrip that day and we’re very hungry when we stopped in maly Ston. This was the first restaurant we saw. Surprisingly it was fully booked and we had to wait to get table for two. But it was worth it! Amazing food,...very tasty, we ordered local wine the owner recommended, fantastic service. Everything was delicious! The oysters we tasted are the best I ever tried in my 45 years life 💖 We ordered seafood salad and seafood spaghetti as well. Big portions you can share. The starter was on the house (fish butter with warm crackers) We strongly recommend this restaurant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻More

Me and my husband went to Kapetanova kuća today. I am 6 months pregnant. After eating the appetizer the waiter came with main course. He pushed the existing cutlery and glasses and poured a full glass of ice water all over my stomach, even the...whole cushion of the chair was wet. He left the main course and dessert, then brought the bill and the postcard of the Kapetanova kuća. He obviously thinks we will come regularly after an incident like this.More

Service was a bit confused, but kind. Oysters were ok. Fishsoup was thin and tasteless. Seafood spaggeti was more like a spagetti floating in thin tomato soup with overcooked seafood, tasteless. The whole restuarant gives an out of date impression. Can’t understand how anyone could...recommend this...More
