The "Kapetanova kuca" restaurant is situated on the most attractive location on the Mali Ston waterfront. The name was derived and chosen as such due to the fact that it was the centre and dwelling place of the Mali Ston Guard Captain. The "Kapetanova kuca" was opened on 1 September 1986 and back then it was a family tavern. It is owned by Kralj family, one of the oldest families in Mali Ston. The restaurant offers specialties of the Mali Ston Bay exclusively, and includes a large winery of Peljesac wines.

The waiter gave detailed explanations about the food and accepted modifications to the menu. We were 2 couples and all tasted all the dishes served. All were very good. I recommend the oysters (raw of course), black seafood risotto, seafood pasta, and the grilled fish.

This locally owned gem is right on the waterfront and superb! During 10 days in Croatia, we had many meals. Almost every restaurant has the same menu and the setting is the same, but the quality and preparation vary considerably. The ingredients here could not...More
The most complete meal i had in croatia. Complimentary fish pate very tasty, think creamy tuna salad topped with a tiny bit of caviar. The oysters, amazingly fresh, no condiments necessary for me. The oyster soup, though seemingly devoid of any real oyster pieces, was...More
