We came here quite late one evening recently, not being really sure if we had arrived too late. Fortunately we were still warmly welcomed and we were lead upstairs to the roof top terrace. All very nice. We settled at a nice table and waited...to be served. Firstly my son pointed out to the waiter that it would be nice to have a table cloth and accessories like all the other tables. The oversight was quickly corrected. For the meal itself I started with the olive oil and polenta "amuse bouche" and the olive pate. Both were quite nice. For the main course I wanted to try something special and it was suggested that I try the beef tagliata. This turned out to be a little disappointing - little pieces of beef in a meat sauce and pasta. Nothing really to write home (or to Tripadvisor) about. I also tried the house wine - a chilled glass glass of white malvasia and a glass of local red wine (name not recorded). Both were reasonable. Service throughout was a bit hit and miss. Once we got the waiters attention things went well - polite and friendly. But it all took time... At the end of the meal rather than wait for the bill to finally arrive we got up and paid downstairs. Oh, by the way, the toilets were modern and very clean. All in all, this was a pleasant experience at a nice location - it just lacked the "je ne sais quoi" to warrant a full excellent rating.More

We would have eaten here more than twice, but it was a long way to walk from our holiday villa. It really is pretty smart, and looks quite upmarket, but without the silly prices to go with it. Beautiful décor and table settings. Once seated...we were pretty much ignored to start with on our first visit, but once they had our order things slipped into gear, and the service was good. Excellent food. As seems to be the custom in Croatia, the red wine arrived chilled and the white wine was at room temperature, but there was no problem once we explained our preferences. Prices were very reasonable considering the classy surroundings. Oh, and the toilets were spotless. Well worth a visit. The restaurant, I mean - not just the toilets.More

Family restaurant that does not follow trend Like every other restaurant that sells Image od local Food. This place od Real, authentic and local. Food is amazing, staff is frendly, and place is comfortable, cosy, relaxed. Experience od true Istrian tradition. Prsiutto, Olive oil, Cheese,...ravioli, truffles, Babos Wine and “vintage style” bumbar cake is a must Try!More

we arrived and they said there was a 30 minute wait for food but if we'd like to wander around the town they'd reserve us an outside table in the shade for 2.30pm - ideal - came back yes nice table in very small courtyard...- quite small menu but fine, couple of dishes off but Ok , orderd 3 the same and one other - drinks come , drinks get drunk , no one comes back , no bread no food appears - after 30 mins we go off and moan , won't be long , still no food, then we go looking for staff ask again ! 3 minutes it isn't , finally after more than one hour rather tepid disappointing small plate of goulash appear - they do bring us a little more but all in all pretty poor and no offer any discountMore

The decor is very interesting with the unusual art work when first entering the restaurant. It's quite a small restaurant with tables pushed close together. The food was absolutely lovely! - The portions were very small however, for the price, so probably could have done...with doubling it! We had really good service but it was a quiet evening with only a couple other tables so I imagine that aided our prompt service. It was really hot in there as they had no cooling system, with not much space this did make things a little uncomfortable in such heat. I would recommend it as the food was so delicious. We had a large group with everyone having a different item from the menu so everything was enjoyed - particularly the frittata & pasta dishes.More

Had a very nice dinner. The view on the roof top over the sunset is stunning. Food was very good and high quality. It was surprising to us though that there was no wine card, so we went with the house wine and surprinsgly it...was all right. I also feel like we have better desserts in France in pretty much any restaurant, but I know I'm picky on that when traveling. I would recommend it anyway.More

Food was very delicious, BUT the service is ridiculous. First of all, they are not organized at all. We waited for someone to notice us for too long. They were being rude and commenting other guests between themselves. All in all, food was really nice,...but bad service will ruin this restaurant.More

It was our third visit to this restaurant and probably the last one. My girlfriend and me were the only guests aside the big table nearby with 8 people plus the owner of the restaurant - they were celebrating someones birthday and the 2 waitresses...were completely occupied with them - at the same time my girlfriend and me were sitting half an hour after finishing our main meal to eventually order some dessert and coffee, but we received absolutely no attention so we decided to pay and go away. We received no apologies, either. Sad and unprofessional. The food was very good but for those (rather high) prices you can get very good - or even better - traditional food at many other places across Istria.More

Party of 7 - all disappointed with our food... We had high expectations after reading the reviews as well as the description on the website. However, we were really disappointed. The food was tasteless, and one of the dishes arrived late (after the rest of...us had finished our meal). One of the dishes also came out wrong.More
