On our way on the back road from Death Valley to Palm Springs, we figured we's be in Twenty-nine Palms for a late lunch. So we did a TA search and this venue came up. Huh? Middle-Eastern in Twenty-Nine Palms?! Had to try it. The place is easy to find on the small "downtown" main street. Parking is around back.... More

To be honest I had higher hopes for this place thanks to TA reviews. The shawarma was quite dry, though tasty. The tahini and hummus were about average. The service was about average. My favorite part of the meal was actually the salad which was fresh and tasty. I'm not sure if I'd return. Nothing was awful but nothing was... More

Clean, comfortable with eat in or take out. I prefer to eat in as the customer service is pleasant and the food very good. The soups are good and recommend them over the salad (choice soup or salad come with dinner). The kabobs and lamb shanks are tender and flavorful.

Andy and Suha have created an amazing little gem in our Hi-Desert Paradise! Fresh, homemade Mediterranean-American cuisine that can't be best! Ask for their homemade hot sauce - best I ever had!

Finding a good Iraqi restaurant in a small town is odd - unless you consider the 20,000+ Marines stationed at the Combat Center in 29 Palms, many of whom have served in the Middle East.

Our meal at the Palm Kabob House was enjoyable. We had the tabouli, chicken shawarma, falafel plate, lemon lentil soup, and vegetarian plate. All were very good. The fries are more like chips, but were excellent too. Service as prompt and friendly. We were visiting the area, but found the restaurant full on a Wednesday night. Prices were reasonable, and... we went here to lunch today after my wife won a free salmon kabob dinner from here. I ordered the chicken schrawma wrap for lunch and my wife had her salmon kabob. Her meal included a nice sized green salad along with rice, grilled vegetables and rice along with a gyro wrap. My meal included the wrap and I choose... More

I'm giving this 5stars based on the quality and pricing of food in the area. You'll find great Med food here and pretty good compared to other dining options in the area. Not fancy, not gourmet, just good wholesome food in a very casual environment. We shared an ala cartel order of humus and it came with plenty of pita... More

Tthis is listed as closed, we found it to be open. Small place but the food is very good. Mediterranean dining with plenty of menu choices.

Not much to find food-wise in 29 Palms. But this joint rocked my hiker's hunger! Everything is excellent and portions are large. Ate here 2 of our 4 nights in town. Try the lamb.

An unexpected find in an out-of-the-way place. The entry point for Joshua Tree National Park, 29 Palms is also known for its Marine base. For some reason, Middle-Eastern folks who really know how to cook have landed there. They serve plenty of kabobs, kafta & shawarma; we stuck with the vegetarian food: lemon lentil soup, roasted cauliflower salad, and the absolutely best stuffed grape leaves I've ever eaten. Easy to say, I know, but seriously, these people understand how to spice food in a way that's both subtle and complex. A very satisfying meal.
