They called it the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. (Österreichisch-Ungarische Monarchie). So that´s what we are working with, but how does one implement it into a restaurant? That’s the easy part. The Empire was not all just about Austria and Hungary. We can´t forget the other

Have tried so many different cafes and restaurants, this is the best that I have tried in Austria. Every single piece is just so good, a warm dessert that you must try in Austria. It tastes so good w/wo the jam. Must try!!!

We stayed nearby and our hotel suggested Gimsenwirt for traditional Austrian with a Hungarian twist. It was our 1st evening in Austria and it was exceptional. We assumed all restaurants in the region would be similar. They were not! We ended up back at Gimsenwirt...More

Thank you for your review. If you are looking for some more flavoursome dishes, you could definetly try some of our hungarian dishes or other warm dishes instead of one of our tasty salads :) See you next time!

After traveling through Europe for several weeks, this lovely restaurant still stands out as a favorite! Wonderful service, friendly owner, and amazing food. The ingredients were fresh and my schnitzel was larger than my hand! Definitely worth visiting if you’re in the area.

I have to admit we drove there based on tripadvisor reviews :) And it was well worth it: excellent service, lovely presentation of the dishes, big enough, tasty and reasonably priced. What could you want more? :)
