I am reviewing this separately to my stay at the Hotel Perauer. The restaurant was excellent, with a varied menu, and lots of traditional local food, as well as your international classics. We were with large parties on the three times we dined here, and although cramped on some occasions, we appreciated them fitting us all in at very short... More

Visited with friends who had eaten there over many years. Food was great value and the evening unrushed. Will go back if in the area

Restaurant Perauer combines excellent Austrian cuisine (and ditto wine) with another classic Austrian feature: fantastic service! Eating a veal Wiener schnitzel here is simply a treat. Cosy atmosphere.

Went there with three generation family to have dinner. Booked in advance and were right as the place was full. Very good service, tasty food and traditional surroundings. Had trout, pork knuckle and mixed meat plate. Everything was very good. Portions were large so we took something hone as well.

Good restaurant serving traditional fare, head waitress was a bit over zealous and the rear bar we were told to wait in is very small but luckily nobody was smoking. Worth waiting for however as food was very good at a reasonable price . would have no problem recommending to anyone to dine here at least once

We a booked a table 2 days before despite the waitress saying reservations were not necessary. On arrival the place was very busy but we were totally ignored by a very stressed waitress. Despite trying to catch her attention she completely ignored us. As our arrival was not even acknowledged for 10 mins we walked out.

The place was charming, food was very good. Service by the hostess/matron was great. Bar in the back was tiny with smoking allowed which was bad given how small it was; otherwise OK. Waiter seemed a little dour, not too friendly but no issue either. Seat by the window is best. Clean bathrooms.

I had a T-bone steak and it was absolutely delicious. I would strongly advise to try the meat and prices are really ok (29,90e the T-Bone steak 500g), it made my day. Dessert (fondant au Chocolat) was also fully satisfying. Staff was top and very friendly.

This place does really good food. Good offering of traditional Austrian food and a mix of tourist favourites. I had the roast lamb with polenta and ratatouille which was delicious. My boyfriend had ribs and rosemary potatoes which also went down very well. Both were large portions but enough! Only negative things were that it was really hot in there,... More
