Made a side trip to plains from I-75 in way back from eastern Florida. Have always wanted to visit as I always have been a Carter fan. Very tasty lunch for my daughters and I. Nicely decorated restaurant, quick service and friendly employees, one of whom also works in the political paraphernalia shop next door. I noticed that the restaurant... More

Server took orders from several tables who arrived after my table. His excuse was he did not notice us. A table with five people you can't see but don't have a problem seeing table with two people??? It should be noted there is only about 7 tables present. People bringing drinks and refills were outstanding and did a great job... More

The open faced cheeseburger with gravy was a local specialty worth trying. The old bank building with windows on main street offered a nice, casual setting.

Delicious, simple, home cooked food with lots of love, and no pretense. Plains memorabilia surrounds as you sit amongst friendly townspeople and experience what life in Plains is really like. I had a long conversation with someone who used to work for Jimmy Carter back when he ran the peanut company -- now that's an experience money just can't buy.

We read the reviews before getting there and was a little concerned we wouldn't like it. We walked in and loved the atmosphere. Small town, mom and pop restaurant. Saw a few reviews about limited selection on the menu but we had a full selection so that wasn't an issue. The food was great! Hamburger was delicious. My husband had... More

We decided to stop the Buffalo Café after riding around Plains to see the Jimmy Carter sites. On Saturday night they have live music and on this particular Saturday night the local oncology doctor was playing with his band. As we awaited our barbecue pork sandwich, hot dog, fried green beans and french fries, in walked former President Jimmy Carter,... More

If you visit Plains, Georgia you should pop in here for a snack. All profits go to keeping the town looking good and they have certainly succeeded. The food is good and the staff are great.

Like almost everyone who has been here we took the SAMs Shortline and was dropped at their door. The menu is very limited, lunch you have at home but our server was a charming, pleasant young man who provided great service to not only us but our children too.

Lunch with dessert was reasonably priced and nutritious. The large portions my require a doggie bag. Clean restrooms and an outside patio is available in nice weather.

Stopped for lunch before visiting the Jimmy Carter birthplace. We had a grilled chicken sandwich, onion rings a great patty melt and two drinks, with tip for $15. Unique setting in an old bank. Staff was friendly and attentive. Great place to grab a quick lunch.
