A little treasure. After driving through Custer Park, we stopped at the first place we could find . . . and what a find! Real lodge feel to it, rustic furniture and surroundings, even a cowboy in chaps. Had to have the Wranglers Pulled Buffalo (with great sauce). Yum.

I loved this place. The big fireplace in the dining area was very warming and cozy. The western decor was very fun. Half of the bar stools in the separate bar area are made of saddles. The breakfast skillet I had was delicious and filling. The service was very friendly and attentive.

What a marvellous lodge, eating with pronghorns and other creatures watching from the walls. The food was great too. There was even a real cowboy, his horse tied up outside. What a Wild West experience!

Good food in a great authentic lodge atmosphere. I just had a burger which was quite good. My wife tried the buffalo stew and enjoyed it.

We are empty nesters and caught this place at the end of the season. But you would have not known that. Victor was our fine waiter giving good service, the Stadtführer was friendly.. my wife had the cheeseburger and I had the buffalo stew with the best sweet cornbread I have ever tasted, except for my Grandmother. Lol. Prices were... More

Fantastic spot in Custer for great food and old west charm. The food and service was exceptional and so was the drive through Custer just to get there. Food is Americana West with lots of beef and Buffalo however my wife had a salad with chicken which she enjoyed aswell. If you are around Custer this is definitely worth the... More

The restaurant has a great atmosphere. You feel like you are dining inside of a log cabin. The food was great and the prices were reasonable. I would go there again when I am in Custer state park.

We came here after a morning at Wind Cave National Park on the recommendation of one of the rangers. I chose the COB on the server's description: cheddar, caramelized onions and bacon topped buffalo burger. It was cooked to perfection. A wonderful ambience with Western art and decor.

We ate here one afternoon after horseback riding. The inside of the restaurant was comfy and cozy (just what you'd want in a lodge). I had an open roast beef sandwich, and hubby had bison meatloaf over mashed potatoes (which he raved about.) Both of our lunches were delicious. My roast beef was thick, and so tender. The cornbread was... More
