Loved the stuffed red fish ($20) and the crawfish étouffée with crawfish tails ($24). Served with a nice creole rice and a small glass of wine ($8). A Dixie Voodoo draft beer was $7.50. It was very tasty but portions could have been a little more generous. If I had it to do over again I would have stuck with the red fish only as this was really flavorful. The atmosphere is similar to a cafeteria but there is table service and they did all have masks and observe social distancing.

Picked up a dozen char-grilled oysters here and had a great time talking to the cook while he grilled them. The atmosphere here was really cool with a great view of Canal street pedestrians. If I had to rank the oysters I would give them about a 6 or 7 behind, Mr. Ed's, Acme and Felix but I've only been once so maybe they had a small batch. We also were a little disappointed in the amount of bread and juices that we had. I will go again though .

We were in New Orleans for a cheer conference and simply walked by this restaurant while wondering toward Bourbon street and after not finding anything particular to our liking we went in here. What a great decision!! We were there on Saturday morning for their "brunch" and were not disappointed. I had an absolutely fantastic Chicken and Waffles, my wife had a made to order omelette, and my daughter had some pancake thing with berries, whip cream, and other stuff that made it look like a dessert. She was in dreamland eating it the entire time. We enjoyed the experience so much we went back the next morning and I'm already planning to bring a business colleague there in March when I return to New Orleans.

We were optimistic and started out well. Calamari was decent even with the confusion as to who was actually serving us. The waiter recommended the shrimp and crab cake alfredo as well as the red fish dinner. The alfredo was great but the red fish overly disappointing. The fish was dry and lacked flavor and the accompanying vegetables tasted like it was sourced from the freezer then microwaved. Beyond that our waiter seemed to forget about us even though he was friendly. Unfortunately the meal was far from worth the 3 digit price tag (drinks, app and main course).

Of course tasting alligator and other flavors of New Orleans are on any agenda when travelling to the area. We had the Alligator and Shrimp YaYa appetizers. I am glad we ordered two because there isn't much to the Shrimp YaYa service. On the other hand, there was plenty of Alligator nuggets on the plate to make up the difference. Two apps and a beer had us completing the afternoon snack with a $40 bill including tip.

Everything we tried was wonderful. Usually arrived a little before noon so we could have either breakfast or lunch. Tried it all. Best breakfast I had was the "Bayou Bowl" with fried crawfish cakes covered with two poached eggs and crawfish gravy....couldn't eat it all but washed it down with their standard mimosa!. Asked to have it on creamy gouda grits instead of potatoes and so glad I did...very tasty! One of the waiters is quite the singer so he entertained the crowds and the waitresses and guests all joined in! FUN FUN FUN....went there 5 times it was so good!

This was the last place I had dinner before leaving NOLA and it wasn’t too bad. I had the red beans and rice with gator sausage and that was okay, just wish there was more sausage for $17, I only got like two pieces. The best thing I had was the bacon garlic oysters, those are a must have!!! I would come back for those in a heart beat!

Really Cool Location, excellent Staff, and the food is really good ! This was our first time to eat here and we will be back . Everybody got something different and it was all good. My Crawfish Etoufee was awesome and my daughter keeps yelling at me to say that her shrimp and grits was the best that she has ever had. Breakfast menu looks really good too.

Went to Creole House on a recommendation from our hotel. We did make reservations. Got there at 6:45 for 7:00 reservations and were told they would seat us at 7:00. Meanwhile, we stared at open tables for 20 minutes. at 7:05 we were not called, so I went back up to see if they could seat us for our reservation. They hostess did seat us and put us at a table that needed to be cleaned as we passed 2 other open tables that were set up. Not sure why they were quoting a 30 - 45 min wait to others when there were several open tables. It is not due to COVID because we sat next to a table with others seated there. Our server was not happy to be working that night. We waited over an hour for our food. The food was fine, but definitely our worst meal in New Orleans. I got shrimp and grits at most places I ate (not from the South, so I can't get them at home and it is so good). Everywhere else were the huge gulf shrimp. Here they were tiny. Grits were good. With so many other places to choose from Creole House is not worth the wait (when there are open tables), the rude service or the average food.

We dined at Creole House our second night in NO. Covid has restaurants seating 50%, and i think we were seated at the last available table. I ordered the crab cakes, which are a favorite of mine. I've had crab cakes in just about every state, up and down the east coast, from Maine to Florida, and these were second best to none. They were crispy and definitely had that Cajun bite. They came to the table hot and fast. My wife had the the tasting trio, which consisted of jambalaya, rice and beans and gumbo. She said the jambalaya was some of the best she's had. Parking can be a little tricky in this part of the city, but we Ubered to every meal from our Air B&B in the Bywater section.

Drove down from Slidell to Nawlins to take in the town. Went shopping at Riverwalk and met a couple that told us about Creole House. After doing some shopping we decided to walk over to Canal St. and go to the Creole House Restaurant & Oyster Bar. (Excellent Choice). Walked up to the front door and the 3 greeters were very friendly and we were immediately seated. Our server Mariah, came and over and was very friendly. She took our drink order and came back to take our dinner order. The Restaurant has a nice ambiance to it and they have plenty of workers. The food we ordered was very delicious and for dessert we had a Pecan Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. Will return when I'm back in Nawlins!!!

We visited Creole House for a late lunch/early dinner. The sampler provides a great introduction to New Orleans cuisine. Each dish was outstanding. With no room for dessert, we returned about 4 hours later to get desserts to go! During out five day visit, we returned to the Creole House three times, enjoying breakast, lunch, drinks, and dinner.

Creole House was one of only a few restaurants open on Monday's in N.O. near the French Quarter. We had to have some more seafood - so we walked from the Monteleone Hotel only a few blocks down Canal Street to the Creole House. What a pleasant surprise. The food was fantastic, the place was simple but very clean. Social distancing of the tables and masks were worn by the workers - so that was nice. We sat at the bar since there were no tables available - and were served by Jeremiah! He was fantastic. We had a fancy cocktail that he recommended and then ordered the stuffed fish and seafood pasta. Will definitely go back.

We waited 35 minutes to get seated, 15 minutes to get water, another 5 minutes to get our drinks and another 30 minutes to get our entrée. We only got the dozen oysters for our appetizers. The other three appetizers never made it out of the kitchen (Gator tail, Calamari) and when we received our entrée, we asked her what happened to the rest of the appetizers, she said: "That's the way the kitchen works. I just bring out what they give me ." She could care less, never got our 2nd round of drinks and her warm thank you to us was "Do ya'll want your check or are you going to sit around for awhile? All the food was luke warm which probably goes back to the waitress leaving it on the warming rack. We said, we would like another round of drinks and then get our check. She never came back and we had to flag her down to get our check and leave.

I don’t give out many 5 stars so this place rates in my top ratings. Was told to come here by front desk guy at hotel. Easy walk down some scary streets to get here. Not restaurants fault for freaky people. I got the jambalaya pasta and wife got a chicken club sandwich. Our waiter was good and when the pasta came I took my first bite and I thought, oh no this is gonna come back to bite me later. But it was just that first spice taste and no real after burn from it. I enjoyed every bit of it and the bread/toast was the perfect match to make sure there was no burn. Wife loved her sandwich and fries and our waiter (Brendan) came and checked at the right intervals to not interrupt. He even got me a to go cup. I will tell friend that come to NOLA to eat here. You earned my 5 stars.
