The Joint has a wide range of BBQ. It has 12 tables. Be cool and a table will open. Very popular with locals and tourists. Be sure to know how to get to the restaurant. Size of the plate justifies the price.

Yummy! Great smoked BBQ. My ribs were cooked very well and my 1/4 chicken was flavorful throughout. The brisket was excellent. The dry rub is amazing and deep with savory flavor. The mango pineapple habanero sauce had a punch and was tasty. If you're a Midwesterner like me, and like your sweet brown sugar BBQ sauce, you'd better bring your... More

I picked this spot based on other Tripadvisor reviews and it did not disappoint. I had the Brisket and my husband had the ribs. The brisket was so flavorful and tender but the ribs.....SLAP YA UNCLE good! cause we love and fear our mothers too much for that. for the sides we had mac & cheese which was also top... More

Sorry folks. The ribs are killer. The beans and slaw is ok. Disappointed. I am from arkansas and I know barbecue . Wish they would change the sides.

A must go for any carnivores out there! We enjoyed their combo platter and a half rack of ribs and couldn't finish it all. By far and above the brisket and ribs were worth the cab ride, but the sausage, pulled pork and our sides ( collards, and mac n'cheese) were also very tasty. Really enjoyed this "locals" favorite!

Friends have been telling us to visit The Joint and we didn't really put it in the top of our list of places to try. Big Mistake! The Joint is awesome. When you go (and you must) get either the rib plate or the brisket plate on your first visit. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. One word of caution---the... More

We got ribs, brisket, pulled pork and had some sides. I've eaten amazing ribs before but these blew them out of the water!!! it was a toss up between the pulled pork and brisket for 2nd best, both are superb and you wont be disappointed with either. While this location is easy to get to via taxi, it did however... More

Wanted good bar-b-que so we looked up BBQ on trip advisor . We decide to give the Joint a shot but we were apprehensive because of the location . We arrived about 6:30 and there was a long line. Most went outside to eat or went take out, We had no problem finding a booth to eat inside. We had... More

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
