The sides were just ok, but that's not why you go here. Only 4 out of 5 as the seating area is fairly limited and it is a good drive from the city... More

Not only was the food authentic New Orleans, Louisiana barbecue, the staff was so wonderful, especially Brian. Brian explained the backstory of all the different types of sauces. He was so enthusiastic and actually made the experience better than it could've been.

My family and I have been there about 6 times over past couple of years. First time we went was because of Triple D. Ever other time we go back is because of the food. Best BBQ in Louisiana. Sorry it took so long to write a review.

I am writing this from the Joint, rain pouring on the tin roof porch. I am enjoying some of the best BBQ I have ever had. Period! Dot! Burnt ends, pulled pork, baby backs that fall off the bone but aren't mushy, brisket chili, all fabulous! Sauce is sort of a vinegar-based, Carolina style. And of course, I had to... More

We really liked the informal, yet cordial vibe. It may not look like much from the outside; in fact, my family feared exiting the Uber! It is a total hidden gem! As others have stated, you proceed to the counter and order your food and beverages. When your order is ready, your food is delivered to you. You serve yourself... More

Yummy ribs! Tender, fall off the bone ribs with two sauces to add to your ribs. Side dishes were delicious, had the mac and cheese and corn bread with jalapenos baked in it!! Staff was friendly and outside patio is dog friendly!!

Mumm- Mumm- Mumm- We'd been there on a previous visit and it was so good we could hardly wait to go again. We split a slab of fall of the bone tender baby back ribs with mac and cheese and special of the day collard greens the best I've ever had. If you love bbq give the Joint a try.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
