I tried the ribs, pulled pork, Mac n cheese, and baked beans. All of it was amazing but the ribs and baked beans stood out the most to me. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and the beans were just amazing. Service was super fast and a down home atmosphere too. I will definitely visit again when I'm... More

Local find in Bywater for some amazing BBQ. The ribs are so soft they come right off the bone and probably the best BBQ sauce ever. Would have loved to bring some home but not sure it would survive the plane ride though did grab some Rib Sprinkle. Perfect little divvy atmosphere with an patio out back. Try the Mr... More

Tuesday special is delicious and a bargain. They may be adding it to the Wednesday menu too! If they are sold out, I recommend their ribs.

Boy oh boy did we Love the brisket! Having experienced many meat places in Europe we were very skeptical of what we could actually get more of when we came to Louisiana, but this really did blow us away by the brisket and.ribs. The smoked goodness that came out of the joint was one is one to write home about.

As this is located a good bit east of the Quarter, bordering the Lower Ninth Ward, I wasn't sure what the area would look like. To my delight, it has rebounded nicely from Katrina and looks to be on the upswing, with a number of houses renovated and sporting a fresh coat of colorful paint. The Joint has that fabulous... Really cool restaurant with amazing food! I had a pulled pork sandwich, ribs and a side of mac & cheese. Honestly the best ribs I've had in my life!! Was so good I went up for another serving, wasn't ready for it to be over! Really reasonably priced and you can purchase rib rub and other marinades in the restaurant... More

The service was fast, the place was crowded but we were able to find a seat. We ordered the hot sausages and ribs, they were awesome. As we were leaving we noticed another couple eating brisket. I stopped and asked questions about it, we were offered a piece to taste and I was sold. On my trip back I will... More

It's a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Pulled pork was our favorite. The brisket and ribs were also terrific. Coke slaw and Mac and cheese not great.

I found this place on Trip Advisor and made it a point to go when I visited N.O. One of the best meals I had in N.O. I had the ribs and brisket with potato salad. My sister had the smoked chicken. The chicken was so moist and the seasoning was everything! The place is small and self seating but... More

Had the pulled pork and the smoked chicken. Omg!!! The chicken melted in my mouth. Pork was stellar. As sides, we had Mac n cheese, chilli and potato salad. The ambiance is great and the Paloma drink, super tasty and strong. Nice outdoor seating and decor.

Staying in Faubourg Marigny & Bywater

Neighborhood Profile
Faubourg Marigny & Bywater
Nestled between the French Quarter and the Ninth Ward, the Faubourg Marigny & Bywater environs are largely residential. Of course, folks around here love to go out and have a good time as much as they do anywhere in NOLA. And if out-of-towners want to join in the festivities, well then so much the better! Home to some of the most revered live music venues in New Orleans, an eclectic gaggle of gourmand dining destinations, and a come-as-you-are vibe that’s as infectious as it is alluring, this is real deal New Orleans oozing with southern hospitality and the promise of a most epic night out. For endless opportunities to boogie, to admire row upon row of lovingly restored homes, and to escape the fray of the more touristic parts of town (but still live it up in grand style) head to Faubourg Marigny & Bywater.
