Our tour group detoured in for bathroom breaks and coffee and treats. The coffee and baked goods were delicious. We'll stop by any time we're in the area.

We stayed at the Sully Mansion Inn nearby which serves chicory coffee. We prefer espresso and this shop was perfect with fast service and good products.

Caught in a bad storm, we were welcomed with delicious coffee and tea. Others spoke highly of the sandwiches. I didn't eat so cannot say anything different. Cute cafe in the Garden District.

when we entered the cafe, the staff looked the other way, we had to call for assistance at the counter and the look on the employees face was a flat affect, which made the coffee taste bitter. the customer service we received here was horrid, that once we ordered coffee we left immediately.

Stopped here after walking through Lafayette No.1 Cemetery, followed by several blocks enjoying the beautiful homes in the Garden District It was the perfect spot to relax before boarding the St Charles streetcar. Comfortable seating. Good coffee. And a barista who, on request, made a design on my latte !!!

After a hot stroll thru the Cemetery we needed a sit down & drink ! Apart from the obvious they had a small supermarket selection and a small menu ! We picked a healthy salad & cookie plus drinks !! Fitness plus , right ? Not a bad choice & was well supported by customers !!

I visit New Orleans every year or so and stay in the garden district. Every morning I walk to this popular cafe for a coffee with a bagel and cream cheese. I love it.

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
