Not over the top but definitely good food and good service. I had the Crab Brie Omelet which again was good but not over the top. Worth the trip but not a hidden gem by any means.

Always a fun time at Surrey's! Delicious food and juice! The staff is always so kind and it's so WORTH THE WAIT! Try either location. You won't be disappointed.

The waitstaff were friendly and efficient. The place is small, so they are good at getting you in and out quickly. Standard breakfast fare, well prepared. Nice banter with the waitstaff if you initiate conversation, but, in general, they are not intrusive. I ordered organic eggs. They were quite a bit more expensive that regular eggs. I like the option,... More

Nice place, relatively far from the French quarter. Limited selection but very good food. Hue is rancheros are great as are the pancakes. A pity that there is no espresso!

Surrey's isn't as much a juice bar as it is a funky little place for great food. I've eaten some grits in my life, but these were the best. They came in a bowl that had been in the oven, so not only were they hot on arrival, but they stayed hot. The eggs were good, the biscuits good, and... More

Went here for breakfast on a friday, there was a long line and about a 40 min wait, but the food was worth it. The bananas fosters French toast was amazing!!!!!!!!! The other menu items were good, but if you go the French toast is a must. Small place, diner feel. Good for a casual breakfast.

The food is amazing. The pancakes is what I came for. It's huge. One pancake but trust me. It's an accomplishment. I went to another place and to get just water took forever. The people there are friendly and the decor is beautiful. Looks like local paintings everywhere. It's small and the wait can be long depending on the time... More

Staying in Garden District

Neighborhood Profile
Garden District
Head to the Garden District for the full-on New Orleans experience replete with quaintly clanking streetcars, proudly grandiose antebellum mansions, picture perfect avenues lined with live oaks loaded down with Spanish moss, and a wealth of beautiful churches and many more architectural marvels. Even a brief excursion here makes plain why it’s called the Garden District. So, when you visit be sure to give yourself ample time for admiration at a languidly slow pace befitting such gentile strand of riverside living and to allow you to maximize each opportunity to stop and smell the roses – and whichever other blooms you might come across. While taking it all in, you’d do well to dine at one of the city’s most beloved destinations for regional cuisine. Gourmands from far and wide (and right round the corner) swear the age-old Commander’s Palace is the best restaurant in town – and have been doing so since it opened back in 1880.
