Incredible baked goods and gelato. I recommend the straciatella (some sort of shaved chocolate bits or something), a pine nut macaroon, and a vanilla cannoli.

We were impressed with the breadth of authentic Italian flavors. Compared to the gelato we have enjoyed over the years in Europe, however, the flavors here were not of the wonderful intensity we were longing for.

We love Angelo Brocato's and try to go overtime we're in New Orleans if possible. Very good gelato, ices and ice cream, spumoni, and my favorite, biscuit tortoni. Great cookies and coffee, espresso, cappuccino, etc. But the best part is taking your stuff to the raised area and people watching: a few tourists, but mainly neighborhood regulars and families having... Dang. So I got off the streetcar at Carrollton Ave and decided I'd walk to the Museum of Art. Hadn't eaten lunch yet so did a quick search on Trip Advisor for restaurants near me and in less than 1/10 of a mile was Angelo Brocato. Boom!! Dessert for lunch when in NOLA. Omg. People weren't kidding about how good... More

Great place for authentic gelato, cannoli, etc. So good that there is usually a line just to enter and order, but it's worth it. Very friendly vibe.

Everything here is good! A great Italian, family-owned parlor with the best gelato and other traditional Italian pastries and delights. They offer delicious flavors in the gelato! Yum!

My New Orleans native girlfriend said we ABSOLUTELY had to go here for dessert after dinner, instead of getting dinner at our restaurant. The line was 20 people out the door, and it was packed inside. All for good reason. The cookies, cannolis, gelatos, and everything else were sooooooooooo unbelievably good. I definitely want to make another trip here.

Gelato, Italian ice, cannoli, cookies can't ever decide which to get always end up with a few cannoli in a go bag so at least one makes it home.

This is an New Orleans institution. If you want spumone or gelato, you're not going to find a place as good as Angelo Brocato's. Do keep in mind that, in summer, you will find a nice line of folks desperate for sweets and cool refreshment.

Brocato's is a N.O. institution ! The desserts are all wonderful...especially the cannoli's and the spumoni...all made in house ! Check out their web site.
