The place was at 50% capacity when we arrived so we were seated immediately. Every member of the staff was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the fish of the day - a huge, whole, sea trout and a mahi-mahi dish along with a fried oyster appetizer. Everything was fantastic and the sides were also outstanding. It was a great... We ate here twice on our visit to New Orleans. Both times the food was very delicious. On our second visit, my husbands fish was under cooked, raw, but they prepared a second dish and made thing right. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was perfect.

My colleague and I loved it here. We both got the Fried Oyster Po Boy sandwich. Delicious and filling. The ice box lemon pie was also a treat.

It was our first seafood restaurant experience as we had just arrived in NOLA a few hours earlier. Highly recommended and booked by our concierge at the Wyndham French Quarters, for the "best" oysters in town. Well, the food generally was good, though we did find them a tad salty! The oysters were also good! Service generally attentive and all... More

We were searching for fresh crawdads and tho they didn't have this on the menu because of the chef's wild caught rule, our meal of fried cradads, raw oysters, tuna tartar and fisherman's stew was AMAZING! We will make this a MUST STOP!!!

I was in search for fried oysters. Found it in this gem. Friendly staff. Gulf oysters are the best. Also had calamari for appetizers. Just as mouth watering.

We were hosting a business meeting and when the food arrived I asked the server to plate our guests first. He was a Heavy set till gentleman from the back with black glasses. He made the comment in front of our clients. "JESUS Christ" guy just pass the f&&$$ plates out. I was so embarrassed. We ended up giving a... More

Wonderfully dinner. Fresh Tuna on top of a vegetable table, fisherman's stew very rich and tasty, excellent wine, red merlot. Desert: pecan pie, lemon ice box, white chocolate brad cake, everything, excellent. We ate really well cooked food. Very helpful and nice garçon. Try it, you will love it.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
