Thé food is great. The service is excellent. The billing I find very misleading. Once dinner is finished, without prior notice either on the menu or elsewhere, I was charged an extra 10% on top of food and taxe, for paying with a credit card....Once dinner is completed. Without prior notice. When the card companies charge 3-4 % to the merchant. Very disappointing. I would not return to this restaurant for this only reason.More

I give 5 because the staff reacted with such speed to an incident. There we were. We had ordered two flights of oyster shooters. It was taking forever to get them. We found out the reason was one of the server had spilled them back...in the kitchen, so it had to be made twice. The server, while starting to put the flight onto the table, tipped the tray, sending the flight of four shot glasses crashing down, getting a little bit of the Bloody Mary onto my fresh white shirt. The waiter got me up, we went back, dabbed with soda, and voila, no stain. So, the food was great, and we all had a laugh.More

The restaurant was super convenient since I was already staying at the InterContinental. Dinner was superb and service was excellent. I had a nightcap at the bar each evening, and the drink offerings were excellent. Definitely a very cool vibe in the restaurant and bar....I was traveling alone, and the staff went out of their way to ensure I never felt lonely and that I was well taken care of.More

Went here New Years night to try some New Orleans creole/cajun cuisine. What a great place! Some of the best food we ate in NO. Louisiana crawfish pie, fried green tomatoes, duck lettuce wraps and grilled oysters with pancetta and cheese. Highly recommend this place.Friendliest...and most professional service. Lovely ambience too. Located in the Intercontinental Hotel.More

Crab bisque was exquisite and the stinky stew a rich blend of seafood and basic veggies cooked to perfection. Highly recommended for real seafood lovers!

My family had a mini reunion in New Orleans and my cousin reserved Trenasse for Christmas dinner. Our group consisted of palates from Dallas, Chicago and Florida, ages 24y to 75y and I cannot express enough how extremely pleased everyone was! The endless Mimosas, the...beautifully presented tray of melt in your mouth grilled Oysters and all the other wonderful dishes made our celebration outstanding! I highly recommend anyone in New Orleans to find the time to savor the food here!More

Food subpar, long wait, we feel this place was way overpriced for the quality. And the additional $8 charge as we pay by credit card: rip off! Never again!

We picked this restaurant after walking passed and reading some reviews. We were looking for Cajun food for our anniversary dinner and this was the perfect choice. We made a reservation, which I would recommend, and were seated right away. Our server was excellent. She...provided just the right amount attention. The food was great as was the ambiance. Our food was really good and the waiter was terrific. My daughter had steak. My husband and I had the short rib special. It was all delicious. It’s more sports bar then fine dining, and it’s connected to a hotel, but as hotel restaurants go-...this was a great one!More

Seriously, as a Northerner from Wisconsin... the Crawfish Pie is one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. I had my doubts about crustaceans in a crust and boy was I wrong. Arrived and a queue at reception. My table was not ready. When it came to taking my order NONE of the fish on the menu was available and my first choice of wines unavailable. Service was good but when it came to pay there were...two different prices, one for credit card and one for cash. I never encountered this before. It sends out the message that you are not welcome if you pay by credit card. This type of differential charging is hardly acceptable in this day and age when cards are the norm. I also felt I was being hurried from the table once I had finished eating even though I had not finished my wine.More

we were looking to try a new place and looked online and enjoyed the menu of trenasse so decided to check it out. overall, great in all aspects the space was small-ish but open and very relaxed. the service was great, the flavors of the...food were good and the spacing/timing of the food was excellent we started off with oysters and garlic bread and then ordered the veggie sample of friend green tomatoes with corn and a cauliflower steak, bisque and bbq shrimp, burger, cbd salad and trenasse sampler. great items were the fried green tomatoes, the cauliflower, the burger and the bbq shrimp. the salad was average and the bisque not great we finished with bread pudding which was also good flavor and each was huge portions overall a great relaxed meal with good flavorMore

Trenasse was recommended by a concierge as having amazing oysters. Evidently his idea of amazing and mine differ. Oysters Rockefeller were small with fresh spinach and while not offensive certainly nothing to be aghast at. Oysters Gratin we’re insanely small, smaller than 1/2 tablespoon. Our...waiter told us “They’re small so we gave you an extra one!” Mon Dieu, how generous. Waiter was overly friendly and too cocky, as evidenced by my “extra oyster”, not sure if I was supposed to genuflect at his magnanimous gesture. For me, a waste of time. Unsure is everything is as mundane and uninspired as the oysters, and service, but I’ll eat at Felix’s for oysters any day over this place.More

Found this spot on Yelp; it’s in a hotel but has its own separate entrance, so it felt more like a standalone restaurant. They have a good oyster happy hour at $1 apiece. Oysters are good, except they don’t really scub the outside as well...as other places do, so your hands will get dirty tampering with the oysters. We had some happy hour bubbly and beer. Two dozen oysters and three cocktails will cost ya just $50 for HH which I believe is 3-6pm daily (even on weekends). Nizel was our server and she was great; very friendly and very attentive. We didn’t have a reservation but were seated immediately. Would definitely go back for some the happy hour deals.More
