Best eggplant parmesan in the USA!! I will continue to come here multiple times every time I visit New Orleans. Love the atmosphere and wine selection as well.

I have been to Marcello's several times now, and each visit was wonderful. The food is really good. My husband loves the pork cheeks, I love the chicken - which sounds pedestrian. It is not! Our friends love the seafood pasta and lasagna. The setting,...with tables nestled among racks of wine, is lovely. The wine selection is one of the best in NOLA, and the prices cannot be beat. The service is always good. Try the grilled artichokes. You will be very happy!More

Beautiful restaurant, and staff - Amanda was great. I had the eggplant parm and loved it. We were early and were glad for that cause the restuarant really filled up within the hour we were there. Get there early!

My husband and I dined at Marcello's last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lindsey was a great server, friendly and fun and very accommodating of my needs for a dairy-free meal. The antipasti platter was generous and had a nice variety of offerings. My husband...said that his lasagna tasted like they were hiding a "nonna" back in their kitchen! My DF spaghetti vongole was tasty , but could've used a bit of herb garnish just to increase the visual appeal and add an element of freshness. Most outstanding though was how the staff called and then waited for my husband to walk back to the restaurant after they had closed when his credit card was left behind...so lovely! Also, the selection of wines by the bottle is superb! Overall a very nice change of pace from the restaurants in the French Quarter...definitely recommend.More

If you are looking for delicious food Marcello’s is a great find in New Orleans. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Having eaten some great Louisiana food on our trip this Italian restaraunt offered some much needed Pasta. The Crab starter was perfect and...the Milanese tasted fantastic. Would definitely visit again!More

The restaurant presents itself as a wine bar and you get to pick your bottle. We were in the front room, and oddly only saw two people actually drinking wine. Others were having mixed drinks or beer. I have dietary limitations and asked for pasta...primavera, which wasn't on the menu. They graciously accommodated me, but for the level of restaurant it is supposed to be, the dish was only average. My wife ordered the spaghetti Bolognese with meatballs. She said her meatballs were inedible, and the restaurant graciously took her dish off the bill. I appreciated that. Someone at the next table had also ordered the meatballs, and it was driving my wife crazy - she wanted to ask him if his were tough too. I told her not to spoil his meal. On the way out,, she asked him anyway - and he said his were also very tough. He didn't want to complain, so had chopped them up and spread them around the plate so they wouldn't look neglected <g>, She felt better that it wasn't just her. If the management reads this, they should consult with the chef - or maybe it was just a problem that night.More

Two day visit to New Orleans. I searched hard to find the right Warehouse District restaurants and really hit the bullseye both nights (Peche being the other). We were absolutely thrilled with Marcello’s, having just two dishes, Veal Palermo and the Linguine Trittone. Generous portions...and delicious. We loved the Foccacia and our individual glasses of wine, reasonably priced. Service by our server, Christian, was professional and comfortable. The atmosphere is really nice-quiet, attractive. Wish I could return right away for at least three other dishes (the pork cheeks, the Molli, and the roast chicken), but we live in Florida. We used to live in New York and know good Italian. Marcello’s measures up.More

I'm lucky to live in a city with GREAT Italian restaurants and this place had decent reviews. That must be because the very large wine selection- you get from your table and select your own bottles from large racks in the middle of the restaurant-...like a wine store display. We noticed that the tables aorund us were all NOLA locals which is usually a good sign! The waiter Michael was delightful, really knew the wines and steered us from a couple menu items. I had a salad and calamari- meh. My husband had the lasagna and was very disappointed it the flavor and texture and didnt finish it. It was a shame because we had to take a cab to get there and we were really looking forward to GOOD Italian.More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other
parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title
might suggest that this area is all about business and
little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you
away from the Central Business District. The CBD
offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be
touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the
world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
