Coolest door guy! Bartender was awesome! Food was really good and the price was reasonable. Bartender at our hotel recommended it for the food and we ended up there twice...once just for food and the second to hang out, drink, and eat! This place is definitely on my top list of places to relax and eat!

After just arriving in New orleans we found a gem of a place here . Nicole was charming and very helpful as well . We had a snack and then decided to go back for dinner . It was very quirky and just a short walk off the hustle and bustle off Bourbon Street . Good for breakfast , snack... More

Stopped by for an early dinner, and were pleasantly surprised at the prices and food offerings (including breakfast all day). A lot of the French Quarter offerings are pretty pricey but this place fit the bill. We had gumbo, shrimp po-boys and the catfish which was probably the best catfish we've ever had. The server was fast, friendly and we... More

Deja Vu is not an overly touristy restaurant, but they still specialize in some good southern cookin'. The restaurant was not overly crowded when I was there, but the atmosphere seemed comfortable. The Southern Pot Roast was my dish of choice, and it was fantastic. Our waiter was good also.

We ate a great meal here with good local draft beers for a really good price. This area can be pricey but this bar is very reasonable. Great friendly staff too

We stopped for a beer, came back for a quick bite of lunch. The bartend was friendly, welcoming us to her 'playground' in New Orleans. Our waitstaff for lunch was also friendly, prompt, attentive. I had a catfish po-boy, my husband had a fried chicken wrap and fries. The fries were 'skinnies' and perfectly cooked to a crisp but not over-done... More

This place gives more of a bar fell than a grill but don't be turned off. The service was excellent and the food was great! Had the steak and eggs and I was so pleased.

Great little place right across from our hotel, we ate here 3 times. The prices and portion sizes were a breath of fresh air after paying over the odds for massive portions you can't finish in other places. Friendly staff, and a nice place to just have a beer if you wanted. Seemed like a popular place.

Per the suggestion of someone we met in New Orleans, we went the deja vu for lunch. My partner is vegetarian and they offer the lady said the best veggie burger. Which was very true. Lunch was amazing and prices were the best in town. You can walk away spending $25 bucks on lunch or dinner! Portion sizes were awesome,... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
