We made reservations here after seeing it on a few must-stop lists on Pinterest. And we were not disappointed! The shady outdoor seating was lovely, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. My husband and I shared the shrimp and grits (best I've ever had...More

I always like to go to Amelie's because it is off the beaten path and is so relaxed. The slow style of enjoying your meal and not rushing is fabulous.

We got to sit outside and it was so beautiful. The food was better than average and I would go back!

A friend recommended we eat here during our trip to New Orleans, and I'm so glad we did. This was by far one of our favorite meals on our road trip across the country. We made a reservation online and were seated and served immediately....More

We had a group of 5 on a Sunday night with several food allergies. Prompt and professional service. Beautiful atmosphere and experience.

Service here is very poor - ignored for long periods of time and had to try very hard to get servers attention to be able to order anything. Food was not very impressive at all and for this price is not worth it. Went to...More

Whether eating upstairs with a large, at a table in the eclectic dining room or outside in the gorgeous courtyard (I have done all 3), this restaurant just delivers every time. My most recent visit was with my wife in the courtyard. The Amelie salad...More

Great New Orleans atmosphere. Relaxed lunch under the trees outdoors in the beautiful courtyard. Pretty fountain and foliage. Great salads and appetizers - we didn't do the heavy dining options or drinks but a great experience.

Stumbled on this place after we had enough of bourbon street. And it was awesome. Food was so delicious and service was great. We went to a "top 10" place for brunch and this place was actually 20 times better. Get the Brussels and the...More

A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living

Hello. No, there is no dress code. It's very casual, but you could certainly dress up if you wanted. You wouldn't be out of place either way, casual or dressy. It is just so one of those: 'just relax and be you and do what... More

Please note that the courtyard is seated on a first come, first serve basis. A reservation does not guarantee seating in the courtyard but we will have a table available inside our beautiful, historic carriage house. We normally allow reservation space for only 50% of the dining room to accommodate walk-ins. Additionally, in order to accommodate all of our guests who are waiting to be seated, we are only able to seat your party once everyone has arrived. Nestled in the historic 150-year-old Princess of Monaco Courtyard and Carriage House on Royal Street in the French Quarter, Cafe Amelie is a rare combination of superb Louisiana fare served in a lush, enchanting New Orleans courtyard setting. Cafe Amelie has a full bar offering an array of signature cocktail creations. Cafe Amelie and the accompanying Princess of Monaco Courtyard are also available for private parties, weddings and receptions.
