Let's make this quick: the meat is not bad. Good flavor, tender... The rest is just okay. Waiters not paying attention or absent. The Somalier- really ? Service and attention to detail - mostly absent as well. The highlight: a nice bottle of Pape Clement- Pessac Leognan 2007, can't mess that up , right ? ;) Starters - Sweetbreads came... More

So where do I start? Went here for my birthday, was excited! It was raining and they have no parking, no valet, you would think an expensive establishment like this would at least share a parking lot with a neighboring business. My husband had to park 2 blocks away and walk in the pouring rain, I expressed my disappointment to... More

We're New Yorkers blessed with the chance to experience dining at some of the best restaurants in the world and Doris provided us with the absolute best restaurant experience in New Orleans. Their level of service was exactly what you'd expect at a world class restaurant. We were graciously greeted and promptly seated at an excellent table in the front... More

Great room with outstanding food and a massive wine list. The price point is high, but worth it. An excellent option that is different than the standard, traditional NOLA cuisine.

I am not a meat eater. The only flesh I eat is seafood. Doris Metro did not disappoint. The artichoke salad was superb. The tuna tartare orgasmic. And the gulf fish absolutely delicious. Paired with an amazing dessert, this was likely the best meal I have had in a long time. Definitely worth a visit.

Probably the best steak I have had. Unfortunately the rest of the menu was not so great. Would be good to have at least one item that most people eat i.e. normal salad such as caesar or tossed. A lot of items were Isralian background....not main stream. Even the desserts. Would be good to have at least 1 item that... More

But seriously if you like steak, hell if you love steak, this a great place to come for meat. You have the choice of 21 day or 31 day hung meat, I went for the 31 day New York skirt steak, cooked medium. I didn't have sides when all the sides do is get in the way of the main... More

If you love good steaks, this restaurant is a must-do while in New Orleans. Almost everything was outstanding; a few highlights are the tuna tartare was unbelievably good, as were the truffle fries, and the steaks were to die for. Do not miss this while you are in NOLA.

Convenient, courteous and satisfying will be the words to summarize this place Convenient location, convenient to book and change reservations. Courteous to accommodate, courteous to serve. Satisfying is the food , a very interesting Cajun, middle eastern and Latin concept with foods both expected and innovative making it interesting. This place is clearly doing it right!

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
