These Beignets are great! I had tried them at different locations throughout our visit. Although, I did not make it to Cafe Dumond and these were the best out of the group. They were warm, crispy and good with plenty of powdered sugar. There were 4 of us sharing the goodies and I almost didn't want to share. But of... More

You can't go wrong with a Beignet in New Orleans. However, some of the other places are now tourists traps. We found out about this little shop from locals. Plus its 5 feet from the Police station and court hours located in the French Quarter and you know those guys go to the best pastry shops in any city.

Stopped in for breakfast and coffee on a couple of different days. The coffee I'd go back for. The breakfast was okay, but not one I'd go back for. Too many other great choices in NOLA.

This little gem is a favorite for breakfast. They have more than just beignet. The croissant sandwiches, omelets, and pastries are all delicious. My family eats there at least once every time we visit New Orleans.

Great breakfast but you will have to stand in line unless you go really early. Beignets are not good-very doughy and heavy but the rest of the menu is good.

Serves delicious treats and breakfast! We stopped for a late breakfast on our way out of town. It would be a great stop while walking around the quarter to relax and refresh!

That Place has two locations, one at Royal St. and the other at Bourbon St. on the Musical Legends Park. I ride a Peddling cab and ask the kindly driver Polly, where we could get a good expressos and she recommended the Café Beignet. Once we get into the Royal St. location, we was thrilled to see the pastries there.... More

We have gone to all the beignet places this week while visiting but we love the atmosphere here. Jazz band - Steamboat Willie plays here. Had a margarita, beignets, a little good. Very nice atmosphere instead of Cafe Dumand which is just coffee and beignets.

We typically get beignets from Cafe du Monde, but due to the proximity of this place to our hotel plus great reviews we saw, we decided to give it a shot. My hubby picked up three orders to go this morning, and we were eating them 5 minutes later. They were cold and very flat. We leave on Friday, but... More

This was our first time to New Orleans and everyone said we had to try Cafe Du Monde but not according to the locals. Cafe Beignet is much less crowded and the beignets were out of this world. You have to walk in and place your order and then find a seat and they will bring your food to you.... More

Description
Café Beignet is known for their made-to-order Beignets, a puffy pillow of fried dough dusted with powdered sugar, and café au lait. But there is so much more! Coffees both hot and cold range from simple to flavored, a pastry counter is filled with sweet delights, and hot foods for both breakfast, lunch, dinner and sandwiches can be ordered at the counter. A sister establishment is a courtyard on Bourbon Street with live music all day.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
